The commenter attributes hearing loss to radiation in a residential building and describes changing sleep…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
About two years ago, the level of 5G radiation in my building increased noticeably. It was so dangerously high in my bedroom (according to a radiation measuring device I bought to test it) that I had to change sleeping places, and ended up sleeping in my bathroom, where the radiation level was more moderate. I have been permanently deafened by my exposure to this high level of radiation in my home. My hearing is impaired and I notice that it gets worse in high radiation areas. I am terrified of an increased level of radiation in my area, as I have already been damaged.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public. I'm an Electrical Engineer that concentrated studies in the field of RF and Optical. It's very easy to see the potential dangers of radiated emissions when you look at a graph of absorbtion across frequency. It shows that water or matter that consists of water, like the human body, are very effective at absorbing radiation. That's why microwave ovens work so well. They don't work well on dry foods but work most effectively on wet or fat filled foods. The human body is high in water and fat. The brain is also very high in both. I've always cringed at the thought of holding a cell phone up to one's head. I've observed a large increase in health issues including cancers in people over the last two decades. It started out with pagers and two way radios that people would wear on their belt for convenience. I saw many friends die from cancer in the gut directly behind where they clipped their pagers and 2 way radios. As technology progressed the cell phones added cancers where people stored and operated their phones. I urge anyone I know not to use of store their phone in close proximity to their body. An example is light... Light is great but you don't put a light bulb up to your face. You get close to fire and it destroys your cells. Both examples are easy to understand. Now shift up the frequency spectrum a bit and just because you can't see the energy doesn't mean it isn't there. Cell phones need to communicate with cell towers that are up to two miles away. Imagine a light bulb or fire that is bright enough to shine two miles. Ok, would you ever consider putting that fire or light bulb right against your head or any part of your body? Clearly not so why would you allow that with a cell phone. Instead, imagine how quickly the heat drops down from the fire or light bulb when you pull back a bit. It doesn't take to much distance to reduce the energy to a manageable level. Arms length seems to do it. As a minimum use your speaker phone and significantly reduce the energy radiated into your critical body parts. Apply the same reasoning to your home router and other radiating devices. Keep your distance as much as possible. Yes it doesn't eliminate the issue but it certainly reduces the impact a LOT. When I explain this to people they don't need to be technical experts to understand... they typically get it and instantly change their habits. The realities of this should be communicated out to everyone and done sooner than later. I don't need a detailed study, it's common sense. Look at the composition of the cells in your human body and look at the radiated absorbtion spectrum graph and put two and two together. Everyone understands the idea of a microwave oven. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation and promoting communicating this out to the public. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am writing in response to the HHS Request regarding EMF's, Radio Frequency Radiation and Wireless Radiation. As a concerned citizen, mother, nurse and person who is sensitive to these types of radiation, I demand that more research be done and practices should be put in place to limit these experimental exposures, particularly for our children.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent who is deeply concerned with the amount of radiation our children are growing up surrounded by in their hands and laps, on their heads, in and around homes, schools and neighborhoods. My children are exposed to household and school wireless radiation EVERYWHERE between household internet, solar panels, wifi connected kitchen products, bluetooth everything. With ever increasing demand for a wireless yet always connected society, I believe this is a health topic that is both inconvenient to study and needs to be thoroughly studied. We cannot let this generation of always connected youth grow into adulthood without the understanding of health consequences. I’d like to fight for them while we can reverse course on any safety signals. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Sincerely, Jennifer Landgraf, parent

I have used a smartphone, computer, laptop, internet, etc... for a large number of years for personal and work related activities. I limit my use and also use EMF blocking cards(?). I have had reoccurring blackouts for over 10 years which have led to 2 seisures that I am aware of. Nothing has been revealed from medical scans.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient, healthcare professional, and concerned member of the public. I personally can not sleep with the 5G wifi router on. Having researched this issue, I have found overwhelming evidence about the health dangers of on our health, fetuses, children and animals. I am requesting that this issue be taken seriously.

I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. I have personally felt the effects and am concerned about the impact such radiation is having on everyone, especially the children. It is very concerning to see the towers right next to schools, playgrounds, and homes when we don't understand the long term effects of such exposure. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard!

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. As a concerned parent and member of the public, I support further research into the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation, particularly its long-term effects on children and other vulnerable populations. With wireless technology becoming increasingly common in our homes, schools, and communities, I believe it is important that federal agencies thoroughly examine potential health risks, consider the experiences of individuals reporting adverse effects, and identify gaps in existing research. I urge HHS to prioritize independent scientific research, evaluate current safety standards, and ensure that public health decisions are based on comprehensive, transparent, and up-to-date evidence. Thank you for providing the public with an opportunity to voice these concerns.

One day awhile back, my internet and phone were down. I took a walk outside to the street area where I live. There was an older gentleman working on the power line. He came down to speak with me. He said don't worry, your internet and phone will be back on line shortly. I asked him if he was aware of the dangers of the EMF's. He said yes, " I have a radiation meter in my pocket and it goes off after 5 minutes. Then I have to come down off the pole for a few minutes, and then go back up. " He gave me an apologetic look, and said he was glad to be retiring soon.
