The commenter describes utility pressure to accept a meter, subsequent household health problems and soci…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a person, who is sensitive to wireless radiation and electromagnetic radiation (emr). Already sensitive to emr. our utility in British Columbia threatened to turn off our hydro power, if we would not accept a Smart Meter. I said we could not, because both my husband and I had health issues, affected by emr. Our power was turned off. My husband had just put harvested farm produce in a walk-in cooler, so he asked for the power to be turned back on. The utility said only if we accepted a Smart Meter and paid a $750 re-installation fee. We were coerced to have a Radio OFF Smart Meter. Within a week, my husband had a stroke, and a second stroke the following week. I experienced cognitive and memory dysfunction. I couldn't find an area in our house where I could sleep, tried sleeping outside, but it was too cold. It was a horrendous affair. Someone heard about us and recommended a combo of a Sine Tamer and Smart Meter Guards, which, when we finally obtained them, made life bearable, though still challenging. For a month after the emr was somewhat mitigated, I had night sweats. I slept in the living room for four years, because the SM was on the wall outside the bedrooms. BC Hydro later did a software upgrade on the SM without informing us. However, we found the employee installing it. That night, when all was quiet, there was a loud hum in the house. This persisted for the 3 weeks it took to have it uninstalled. Again, i couldn't sleep, and tried sleeping outside, in the car, and in a shed, but that was too uncomfortable, I slept fitfully for the 3 weeks. I continue to avoid public places, find it difficult to do shopping, and have a very limited social life. I couldn't even attend church. I manage to do shopping by wearing a silver threaded hat that makes excursions bearable, but it takes a lot out of me. Where I live now, I stay in the lowest emr corner of a suite, so even that is limiting. It's difficult to find a healthy home where I can live naturally. I believe that some of us, who are ehs, have toxins in our bodies from mercury (amalgams), aluminum, lead, cadmium, barium, arsenic and other toxins, in our food, air and water. Add these stressors to other stresses and to experiences of trauma and abuse, and the body reaches a tipping point where it can no longer tolerate the toxic load. It is not our fault, and we should have a choice of low emr environments to live and work in. If our society really had the health of its citizens foremost in mind, it would provide coverage for counselling support to lessen the burden of stresses. In turn, this would make for a healthier society. I do not have any wireless technology in my living space. Instead, I have a landline telephone, in-the-wall computer, in-the-wall modem, and no cell or cordless phones. I sleep with my head away from the wall and the bed about 2 feet from the wall. Of course, avoiding stress, and having emotional support and a healthy lifestyle are important. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, trauma, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

A parent questions placement of 5G towers near schools and children's recreation areas.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent. We are made of energy, that is what so much of everything is, so I have to think its not natural for us to be exposed to 5G, 6G whatever it maybe - man made. Seeing 5G towers outside baseball fields, right at kids schools--- it has to be effecting them and anyone in the area. There are signs on the towers saying danger and not to get close- why? (have to think more than just could get hurt if get too close).

A parent reports personal sensitivity and children's symptoms near a tower, describes household mitigatio…

I personally experience painful tingling in my hands so that I sometimes have to stop using my computer. The kids and I wear silver underwear everyday. Our family lives near a cell phone tower in Germany and my children (now early teens) have experienced many symptoms in the last years - trouble sleeping (especially since Smart Meters were introduced in all buildings here!!!), persistent headaches in one child, and neck problems. Eye strain in our younger child is common. To mitigate some of these constant issues - and yes, I am trying to move us to a new house! - I have invested in EMF protecting bedsheets, a router that automatically turns off when devices are off, screen-flicker blocking glasses... we do what we can to turn off all devices at night, but neighbours do NOT. Our symptoms have improved somewhat - especially the bedsheets help with sleep. It's been financially costly to support our bodies to cope with this much radiation stress, and I do not use a smartphone due to my sensitivity.

I am an individual submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a parent, family member, and concerned member of the public. Wireless radiation has affected me and my family. I currently live in Virgina a state with the greatest number of data centers in the nation. The data centers demand for electricity and water has dramatically changed the environment. Peoples wells are drying up, predators have been displaced and now seek to make their homes close to where people live, and lastly these menaces (data centers) require large amounts of electricity to keep them cool. Their need for electricity has driven a massive push to build high current lines that a currently honeycombing Virginia. Since their proliferation I personally have experienced headaches (never had any before), mood swings, and colds (had some colds very infrequently). There are several neighbors that have mentioned that they are on antidepressant for the first time in their lives. To me this makes sense since we really are electrical beings. Our nervous systems are a honeycomb of wires that run through our bodies to keep us working, healthy, and strong. Disrupt the wiring in the data center with Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure and the centers will begin to break down just as biological life breaks down when exposed to the before mentioned. A burning question I have is, why our protector that we pay taxes to every year (our government) has permitted the proliferation of things that cause Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure without proper current studiers? It seems that our government is nothing more than a bullying mafia organization. The last study I was able to find on the effect of Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure is dated 1978 and it was for ancient technology compared to what we have today which are much stronger field generators. Could it be that they do not want to know the answer so as not to have to deal with it? I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.

More studies on effects of WiFi need to be done. I think items reckless to expand WiFi any further until we know the implications this has on the human body and mind, especially with developing children. Can children safely tolerate more WiFi? How do you know? Please stop and reassess. I find I sleep better with WiFi turned off. Do we even know why that is? More independent studies NEED to be done. I never consented to be in a scientific study so quit experimenting on We The People and consider the impact on children.

The commenter expresses concern about involuntary exposure, particularly during children's school days.

We are all affected by EMF's, RF, Radiation, and wireless exposure, whether we realize it or not. Some people have no idea what is negatively affecting our bodies, without our permission, and in many instances, without our knowledge. Many of the effects people experience are caused or worsened by all this exposure, and most people have no idea. A main concern for me is the exposure our children get during their school day.

I have EHS (electro hyper sensitivity) i live in the Netherlands. I wake up every day with a severe headache and cramped up muscles. The ringing of high pitched frequencies is never ending. I am very tired and have difficulties focusing because of radiation everywhere, all of the time. It is terrible.. I really hope something can be done about this...i feel very sorry for animals, children and babies who have to endure this as well.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a patient and concerned member of the public. Wireless radiation has affected me with tinnitus and insomnia, and likely other ailments that I have not yet attributed to wireless radiation exposure. 5G cell towers are everywhere and do they improve your cellular connectivity? No, they don't. Then why are they there? They are not good, very dangerous and toxic, they all need to be taken down.
