I suspect that though these signals may be insensate, there seem to be very real effects when people are exposed to them. There is a significant and perhaps immediate difference between the thinking you have with a smartphone nearby vs the smartphone being placed in a different room. It's a repeatable test that is easily administered. It's just a silly thing I managed to notice one day. My creative ideation was successful when I had my cellphone a further distance from me in a separate room, but not immediately successful when it was close by. It kept happening too often to be a coincidence. Of course, I could also be mistaken and this could be Hyper-Intentionality and "Choking". You're looking into the area effects of the signals. You should also look into if smartphones and routers could be beacons, hubs, or pillars for detrimental effects in case the problem is more involved than you realize. Time of day, temperature, and solar activity could all perhaps even play a part in the effects upon the signals, and thus the effects the signals cause humans to exhibit.
