My name is Keisha Truax. I am from Middletown, Maryland. I have been diagnosed as having EMF Hypersensitivity. It started over a decade ago after living in a home with mold spores. My nervous system become hyper vigilant. EMF's were a great source of physical and emotional anguish. They affected my ability to sleep or rest well. I had Fibromyalgia like pain start. I had headaches and pain in my sinuses. Even after leaving the home with unresolved mold mycotoxins. I am to this day on medication for anxiety, sleep issues, depression, and suffer from headaches, nerve pain and environmental respiratory symptoms. Cell towers are brutal. When I drive by them even when within a quarter mile and can't see it, the pain in my head, and body intensifies. As I get further away from high tension power lines, cell towers, smart meters, wifi sources or a cell phone my symptoms ALWAYS become less severe. I sleep under an emf canopy due to a cell tower a quarter of a mile away. I do not have wifi in my home and keep my cell phone on airplane mode or off 90% of the time. Unless using for specific reasons. It is NOT a phobia and that has been well documented. It is a physiological and neurological reaction. I get stomach aches and feel anxious near EMF's. They have affected my mood and my behavioral like a puppet on a string. Reproducible without me knowing. Every time! I have suffered relocation of a home due to high tension power lines a quarter mile away. It affected my sinuses with pain and pressure, with increased headaches, earache, and insomnia. Not to mention the mix of anxiety and sadness. EMF'S seem to affect the nervous and digestive system as I regularly get nauseous or have vertigo around cell towers or high tension power lines. I have chronic inflammation and it gets worse after certain EMF exposures. When I type on my cell phone my fingers have felt intense pain and then numbness as I type words. It's a chronic issue that increases the more I use my phone. It's not psychological because I'm not a person of fear or someone who is afraid of EMF'S. They affect me so I have to limit. With limit and protection comes a great reduction in neurological, gastrointestinal amd psychological symptoms. EMF'S have made me unable to function at 100% and I can not work. I do NOT get disability and live with my fiancé who is financially well off. I have had my environmental illness with MCS and EMF Hypersensitivity documented by health professionals. I am on medication to help with symptoms and to function as a mother, finace' and as normal of a life as possible. I take Gabapentin, Seroquel, and Propanolol. I have it documented that my heart rate/pulse are in fact affected by electricity, such as sitting next to an electrical outlet or electric device. Rapid heart rate around wifi, cell phones and electrical wiring, smart meters too. They all impact me. I can not go to public spaces without sitting closest to the outside, never in the center, surrounded by all the individual's cell phones. I sit on top row on the far corners at my daughter's sporting events or at church. I was unable to attend any of the above for three years due to SEVERE MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) AND EMF Hypersensitivity. On medication, sleeping under a canopy that shields, and limiting wifi, cell phones and electrical devices has been the only treatment or prevention that works to minimize the negative consequences of EMF exposure, and how it affects my overall health amd physical abilities. Please put better, more strick, regulations on the FCC and the environmental EMF'S all Americas are being exposed too. In schools, in neighborhoods, in public spaces, and homes. We need less smart appliances, smart meters, smart devices, wifi, cell phones, and computers emmitting these cancer causing, neurological antagonizing, and psychological impacting weapons going into our air space, homes and bodies. Obviously there is a conflict of interest with the FCC and Power Companies, Cell Companies, and internet carriers, etc. If there are more regulations and science showing the long reaching short term and long term affects at different levels of exposure it would protect the American people. Please speak up for those who are experiencing these negative health consequences from cell towers, 5G, wifi and high tension power lines everywhere. Help the truth to be spread. Radiation at small and large levels KILLS. It affects our cells. It affects the quality and health of human life. Thank you for being a champion of truth and science. I upgraded my router to 5gz wifi over the course of weeks i was finding i was not getting good sleep, i thought maybe it was the wifi? I turned off the wifi and my sleep improved. I tested this to make sure by turning it back on and my quality of sleep deteriorated. Since then i have abandoned wifi in my home to maintain better sleep and hardwired my home. i have read the work of Becker and a book of dirty electricity, i also have removed the LED lights from my home as they too were messing with my sleep. I have also changed to a job where no phones are aloud which has also helped my health and i get less ringing in my ears which i often get in town centers. The safe limits are based on heat and the idea that harms begin at ionizing radiation like switch is absurd when you consider the laws of physics and the electrical interference that will naturally occur within our bodies when nonnative EMF is introduced. There are thousands of studies on the harms of EMF on the BIOINITIATIVE website, it very clear that none native EMF is very harmful. I believe our institutions are captured by corporations and greed and have incentives to keep kicking the can down the road on this issue not to mention the governments interest in harvesting data and surveillance to the point i think even this survey will be rigged and we progress further with these toxic technologies.

Thirdly, we live in Australia, and our house is approximately 200-300meters direct in line with two 5G Cell Towers from two different telecommunication providers. Where, the analog mobile relay stations were installed several kilometers away from residential homes (suburban areas). Hello, electrosensitive +++ since 2021, having lived for 30 years in social buildings and near antennas, I had to flee the city and find a house far from an antenna and wifi from the neighbors. I no longer have a mobile phone, no TV. My computer is wired connected to a fiber-powered box. No wifi at home, no connected objects and at night my electricity is cut off, for a better sleep. My life is better than before because I am connected to nature but I remain excluded from society because of my sensitivity to artificial electromagnetic fields. Katell.

I am submitting these comments in response to HHS's Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMF's), Radiofrequency (RF), and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding for myself, my father, older sister and my son. Myself: I was sickened by the Electrical (ComEd) Smart Meter in March 2018, caused Heart Palpitations (AFIB), Sleep issues, Agitation, Anxiety like feelings, I connected the dots due to a notice being placed on my front door from the electrical company stating they had just installed the new Smart Meter. I called ComEd and a gentleman in a Hazmat suit uninstalled the meter with in 5 days (for a fee $75 and I pay $22 a month to have it manually read), they have shared after putting back the old Analog Meter, that the Smart Meters are no longer Mandatory in Illinois. Once the the Smart Meter was removed all my symptoms went away. I also uninstalled the Village Smart Water Meter having same issue. I was diagnosed EHS (Electro hypersensitive) in 2019 by my Holistic Doctor, he shared that he has had (15) patients with the same experience once the Smart Meter was placed on their home. I also struggle severely with the newer Apple 4G/5G Cell Phones (10 - 17), within seconds of holding my phone I get agitation in my hands, anxiety feeling that lead to heart palpitations so strong. I now feel secondhand cell phones, can not go into large gatherings, Church auditorium, Theaters, Music venues, Airplanes, Airports, etc. And yes, the Apple safety guidance buried in the phone is true, use Hands Free & Speaker. I am now being challenged with our Community getting blanketed with 5G Antennas, placing them 10' feet from an apartment building on the west side with the safety sign being place on the top of the pole stating this antenna may exceed the FCC Safety Guidance and little stickers stating you need to be 10' away to be safe. Does it exceed, no one knows locally. I know it does because I feel the cell towers and small cell antennas, unfortunately I have a light pole on my property 30' from my bedroom window and our Village President shared the FCC can put up to (2) antennas per light pole. I will be forced to move at that point because I can not be in my home safely, outside in my gardens or safely walk around my neighborhood. This is a very concerning matter to be forced to leave your home after living there 40 years. And, where do I go to be safe?? That is unfortunately the reality, where do you go with having EHS to be free from all the wireless Radiation?? My Father's story: He was sickened for (2) years starting in 2016, having Heart Palpitations (AFIB), Gut issues, Dizzy episodes, Sleeping issues from Smart Meter installed on his bedroom wall, WiFi Router under his desk, WiFi Boosters installed where he sat in his kitchen dining table and family room chair. After my story, I was able to see why he was having all these mysterious symptoms, he was never getting a break from wireless radiation. He would go to rest in his bedroom after being dizzy at his dining table (WiFi Booster) to be hit again with the Smart Meter on his bedroom wall. Once all the wireless radiation items were removed his symptoms all went away but he had some continued energy issues and gut issues remain (Autoimmune disease). My Older Sister's Story: She was sickened in 2015 having mysterious symptoms for (3) years, Muscle ache, Extreme Anxiety, Gut issues, Energy issues from (4) ComEd Smart Meters outside her bedroom window living in a Condo, along with (57) WiFi from densely populated area. Once my story hit, I was able to see her issue. Once the Smart Meters were covered with Safety Guards her symptoms improved but she ended up moving to a more rural area, is doing better but still dealing with low energy and gut issues (Autoimmune Disease). My Son's Story: He was attending College at Northern Illinois University living in an Apartment building, University Plaza on campus, started having headaches after (3) months of living there, getting more severe. He mentioned to me one night on a phone call that they where installing more bars on the roof/Elevator Shaft. I asked him to immediately send me a photo, to find out they where installing Cell Tower Units, 60' feet from my son's bedroom window (Verizon & AT&T). I removed my son from that apartment building that evening and his headaches went away. I wrote a letter to the building management begging them to protect the students and remove the cell towers off the roof. Ballroom Dance Friend Story: My dance friend came up to me 2023 and shared she now understands why I sit in the back of the Ballroom away from other folks cell phones. She was diagnosed with stage (4) cancer tumor right under her Bra strap, carried her cell phone there frequently. Her doctor said she is seeing tumors at the bra strap and also at the waist line of workout pants where unfortunately woman are choosing to carry their cell phones. My friend passed away.

I am very concerned regarding all emf’s. I became very interested in researching this topic several years ago. (10yrs) when I purchased an iPhone. My fingers are very sensitive to the screen. Then in 2017, we installed solar panels on our home and I started to feel the pulsating pulse in my ear as I would park my car in our garage. Between the smart meter that was installed in Feb 2017 and the solar panels in 2017, I immediately felt the pulsating in the ear. Luckily I found a faraday cover for my smart meter and the pulsation was reduced, but that doesn’t help the tinnitis I feel as well. Then over the years, the installation of 5g towers have worried me as well. These towers put out signal for 5 miles. There is literally no safe place to be. Within our homes with the WiFi or outside. I really wish there was a better way to mitigate these signals. This topic needs to be studied from the effects of cell phone exposure to 5g towers. The last studies origiante from 1970. Please look at the EGW studies they have been doing the studies. Thank you.

I am directing this comment to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about my personal experiences with EMF and the biological impacts my child experienced. My daughter was 7 months of age when our family moved into a newly built house. Over the course of 9 months we began to see our daughter stop babbling, develop neurological problems, and behaviors that resembled autism. However there were still behaviors that our standard pediatrician nor a developmental pediatrician could make sense of. I set out to find what was causing this and learned what EMF was and identified that our daughter’s crib was located directly next to the home WiFi router that was built into the wall of the laundry room by the home building company. We relocated the WiFi router and within two weeks our daughter started to make eye contact again and some of her symptoms improved. After working with other practitioners we learned that our daughter has had significant neurological damage and had significant inflammation to her central nervous system. Over the last year we have been doing what we can to best help her get better but we’re not sure she will ever fully regain what she lost due to this experience. Our daughter is also very sensitive to EMF and we have to limit being in public places near cell towers as this causes her to start showing neurological behaviors. As a result our family lives extremely carefully due to our daughter’s condition but in this country where EMF is not regulated we are finding this extremely difficult. As a parent my heart aches that this happened to my child, but more than that I’m enraged that EMF is not regulated, our government isn’t educating medical professionals or technical industries on this and that this is causing harm to so many Americans who aren’t even aware of it. In addition to my public comment I would like express our willingness to share details of daughters medical case if this helps provide supporting evidence/research of the health implications of EMF specifically to children. As a mother my heart is heavy that this happened to my child and that it is something that will impact her the rest of her life but my hope is that sharing her experience will help bring about change in this country.
