1. & 2. I am responding as: individual
3a. Type of wireless or RF/EMF sources involved (e.g., mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart meters…)Wi-Fi
3b. Nature, duration, frequency, and approximate timing (e.g., years):2 years, intermitant; I began experiencing numbness on my left side; at first interpreted as high blood pressure
3c. Adverse health effect(s) experienced:I began testing for high blood pressure every time my left arm or side went numb. Sometimes my blood pressure was higher than normal, other times it was not. It was very inconsistent so I suspected the numbness was not high blood pressure.
3d. Time from first exposure to first appearance of adverse health effects; and did a change in exposure coincide with the onset of adverse effects:I have been exposed to wi-fi for a long time but I began experiencing the numbness when I and the house next door to me got new internet connections with higher speed.
3e. Was medical evaluation or treatment sought? (Optionally:) Was there a diagnosis?I went to my doctor about the numbness and was told it was high blood pressure but when I monitored the numbness for myself, my blood pressure was higher than normal for less than half the time.
3f. Were steps taken to reduce or eliminate exposure, and were there subsequent changes in the effects?I noticed a big change in the frequency of my numbness in the summer when I was out working in the garden. My hands were bare, in the soil, planting and weeding. I was getting 'grounded'. It was actually then that I connected the numbness to the wi-fi. I have very little numbness when I work in the garden but in the winter, when it's not possible to dig in the soil, the frequency of numbness is much greater.
3g. Any supporting documentation? This includes Scientific Reports, exposure measurements, or other relevant information:no
Additional Details you would like to share about your experiences of adverse health effects you believe to be associated with exposure to wireless radiation or EMF's:I sleep on the other side of the house from the two close internet connections. However this is not a cure as I cannot control the connection in the house next door on that side.
B1a. Sources you experience as causing you Adverse Effects:2 internet connections about 20 feet apart, one in my house, one next door. I do not have a cell phone but 2 other people in my house have them. My computer uses wi-fi and I probably spend 3 hours per day on it.
B1b. Sources you can sense, but don't seem to harm you:I think they all harm me, or the sum of them all harms me.
B1c. Sources you can use without sensing or being harmed:
B1d. Sources that seem to provide benefit (i.e., electrotherapy):
B2a. Health conditions you think may contribute to your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless:I don't have other conditions but I think the long exposure has built up harm. I was a computer teacher before I retired and spent many hours in classrooms with wi-fi.
B2b. Health conditions you don't necessarily associate with your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless, but might be relevant:don't sleep well
B3. For each subquestion please list up to 5 drugs or therapies or home remedies (if any)
B3a. That you recommend, as they helped you tolerate or recover from EMF exposure:walking barefoot outside to 'ground' and mitigate the EMF exposure
working the soil, planting and weeding with bare hands also seems to counteract the exposure
B3b. That you recommend, but you’re not positive that they help:turn off internet connection at night
B3c. That helped you but you don’t recommend. (e.g., the benefit did not last long or the side effects were too harmful):
B3d. Treatments that had no effect:
B3e. Treatments that made your sensitivity worse:75+
B4. What is your age range?75+
B5. What year did you become aware of your sensitivity to wireless radiation or electromagnetic fields?2024
B6. What country, state, province, or major city were you living in when you first noticed your sensitivity to wireless or electromagnetic fields?Canada, Ontario, Windsor
