A teacher reports tinnitus, pain, cognitive difficulties, palpitations and sleep disruption associated wi…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Tinnitus arrived the day the neighboors had the AMF-antennas installed in their houses, which I did not know untill the day after. 8 years later, I still have tinnitus, but after 5G coverage started, I started having an additional, darker tone, so now I have 2 different ones. I really could not believe this had to do with EMF exposure, but experiencing like a spear through my brain when one of the neighboors plugged in their electric car charger and hearing a car-charger-park like thousends of screams (I did not manage to have a conversation because of how it affected my brain) I finally had to admit this was a cause to my health problems. I experience pains in my head and in my body, brain fog, difficulties finding words, fatigue, anxiety and heart pulpifications after exposures to wifi, Bluetooth, 4G, 4G+, 5G. We now have had wifi 6 at work installed, along smart heating owens, the latter 50 cm from my desk. I teach middle school, and sometimes there are 28 active computers in the room, along a smart TV or a projector using Bluetooth and an access point placed on top of the entrance door. About 50 meters from our school is a cluster of at least 3 5G antennas. Most ceiling lights have also been changed info LED, they give me immidiate headaches. At home I have no wifi, I am now using my cell phone through a cable. The blue light is turned down as much as possible, and I have a protective shield across the screen. I also turn on the flightmode when I have the phone in my hands. I never use it to my ear. A few hours after coming home from work, the health issues weakens. In the beginning, before I turned off the wifi, and while others were living with me in the house (using their own phones), I also had major sleeping disturbances. If I ever take an electric taxi, my joints and muscles start hurting after a few minutes.

Reports an EHS diagnosis from an environmental consultant and symptoms associated with phones, Wi-Fi and …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I'm an individual of middle age who has experienced issues with mobile phones and WiFi for many years. I thought it was normal until I started to connect the dots. A couple of years ago I contacted an Environmental Consultant and Electromagnetic Radiation Specialist and he diagnosed me with Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity. My symptoms include head pain, tingling, redness/flushing, burning, fatigue, nausea, and difficulty concentrating. Due to my WiFi sensitivity, I've disabled WiFi and hard-wired my electronics. I keep technology to a minimum. Recently, I had to enable the WiFi to install a new router/modem combo. It was only on for about a half hour but my head felt like it was in a vice. When I finally disabled the WiFi again, the relief was almost instantaneous. My fingers burn if I'm using the computer while it's charging. I installed a landline so that I can use the phone without headaches, but because landlines now operate on VoIP, I have to limit that time as well. I would not let the electric company install a "smart" meter because of the health risks. I think everything "smart" is really dumb because of the EMF and RF exposure. It is getting harder and harder to find a safe place. I recently heard about a woman with such severe EMF that she committed suicide because she couldn't find a safe haven. It is very sad. Now these data centers are going up everywhere, too. I wish the government would do something to prevent this “smart” technology from taking over and destroying our lives and making us sick because whether people have symptoms or not, it is killing all of us!

Reports EMF sensitivity and improvement in anxiety, digestive symptoms, skin problems and sleep after tur…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I discovered many years ago with the help of my physician that I am extremely EMF sensitive. I had chronic anxiety, digestive issues and atopic dermatitis that would not resolve with any known medical interventions. It was not until my doctor recommended that I try turning off the wifi (which was located on my desk) that my issues began to resolve. I actually had what looked like a radiation burn on my torso that finally went away within 24 hours of turning off the wifi router. We then permanently left the wifi off and returned to ethernet cable for our entire household. Within about 72 hours my digestive issues, chronic anxiety, panic attacks and difficulty sleeping fully resolved. Occasionally we have to use our wifi and if we forget to turn it off at night my anxiety and insomnia instantly returns.

Describes decades of self-reported EHS, progressive restrictions on communication, healthcare and family …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Wireless radiation has impacted my life and my family's life in the most deleterious ways imaginable. It started 27 years ago when I first tried to use a cell phone. Head pain, ear pain, heating of my ear and facial tissue, memory loss and brain fog began for me, then in 1999. Over the years my symptoms have gradually worsened. At first I could use a cell phone, but only to send text messages. Then, I had to move to a rural area, away from cell towers, and could only send texts with the phone on a "selfie"-stick. By 2015 I was keeping my cell in a faraday bag 99% of the time. By 2020 I had to get rid of the cell phone entirely, which is challenging at minimum in today's world, and dangerous at times given the lack of safe alternatives, such as payphones which no longer are available. For example, when I'm not at home and close to a landline, schools cannot reach me if my children are hurt or sick or there is any kind of emergency. When we travel, (and we like to go camping every summer), I cannot call a tow truck or a police officer if there's an emergency. Now that my children are teens, they want to have a cell phone. Unfortunately I have to have them keep their phone in a faraday bag at all times and they can only use it when they are far away from me, or at least 45 feet away from our house at the edge of the yard! If their friends come over, they have a hard time understanding they have to turn their cell phones off. Their parents don't trust someone who won't let their kids keep in contact with them by cell phone, which means my kids have fewer friends and social events. I am not able to go to my daughter's STEAM Bowls, where she's always selected to compete, nor to her awards ceremonies, when she is honored for her academic achievements. I tried to attend my grand daughter's band concert, and could not stay in the auditorium with all the cell phones around me. I am unable to wait in doctors' or dentists' offices. I can't pick up my daughter's eyeglasses for the same reason--every person is holding/using a cell phone in the waiting area. I no longer am able to work out at the gym--I have to quickly put on my sneakers and head for the door, getting my work out by walking around outside, because everyone inside the gym is using a cell phone. I cannot use or be around any wireless devices, such as wireless printers, laptops, or tablets. Police officers and firemen make my head hurt very badly with all their wireless devices. I can't see a doctor because their whole office is under wifi and they are always using a wireless laptop and phone, as well. I was given an MRI by a well-meaning but obviously uninformed neurologist and spent 4 months with severe headache, memory loss, tinnitus and insomnia. The worst part is the total isolation that this is pushing me into, unable to go out and among my fellow human beings. I shudder to think what would happen if I ever need to go into the hospital. My doctor tells me "This is not what I believe, but, the medical consensus is that this (EHS) is not real. So I can't help you. Insurance won't pay for it." For 27 years I am shunted out of society and left to survive without any support or treatment. I have even developed early onset Alzheimer's, which is inevitable for people with EHS, because we cannot avoid being exposed to EMR in public, nor at home, from neighbors' wifi and nearby cell towers. Exposure causes brain inflammation, amyloid plaques, tau tangles, Alzheimer's. The link between EMR and neurological degeneration must be investigated. We need SIGNIFICANT investigation into the dangers of wireless radiation, NOW. I worry about my children, my grandchildren, and all the people of the world being exposed to harmful electromagnetic radiation. There is research proving that EMR negatively affects biological life on all levels, from military research into microwaves and ELF to the work of John O. Becker in his book, "The Body Electric," & recent research. And PLEASE stop allowing the military-industrial complex to cover up the harm that EMR (electromagnetic radiation) is wreaking on society! And all of the people suffering from EHS (electro-hypersensitivity), as a result of the blanket of EMR that is everywhere today, should be protected and given accommodations so that we can access public places again. Just like blind and deaf and wheel-chair-bound individuals, we need to be able to enter government offices, go to the doctor/dentist, ride on the bus or take an airplane, or even eat in a restaurant or go to the store. Today, with private and government entities pushing people to use cell phones for everything (and often denying service to those who won't or can't), the EMR is nothing less than ubiquitous and many of us are suffering terribly because of it. We need studies to see if more and more people will become electro-hypersensitive and what harm is being caused to humans and biological life. Please help us! Sincerely.

Reports perceived sensitivity, fatigue, brain fog and headaches in wireless environments, while acknowled…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Question 2 — Perspective I am responding as an individual consumer with personal experience that I believe may be relevant to the evaluation of RF/EMF exposure and potential health effects. Question 3 — Personal experience I have experienced what I perceive to be sensitivity to RF/wireless environments, particularly Wi-Fi and environments with multiple wireless devices. My experience has been that prolonged exposure to Wi-Fi or other wireless environments is sometimes followed by significant fatigue and brain fog. In some situations, I notice symptoms after approximately two hours of exposure. I have also noticed more immediate symptoms in certain higher-wireless environments. For example, when riding inside a Tesla vehicle, I have experienced a headache after approximately 15 minutes. I have also experienced headaches when sitting relatively close to an active Wi-Fi access point. In an office environment with numerous wireless and electronic devices, I have sometimes experienced substantial fatigue and brain fog toward the end of the workday. I have noticed that these experiences are less pronounced when I can reduce my exposure to wireless sources. I recognize that these observations are personal experiences and do not, by themselves, establish that RF/EMF exposure caused the symptoms. Other factors could potentially contribute to fatigue, headaches, or cognitive symptoms. However, the recurring relationship I have personally observed between particular wireless environments and the onset of symptoms is significant enough to me that I believe it warrants further scientific investigation. I believe research should examine not only short-term exposure and average exposure levels, but also the effects of prolonged, repeated, and cumulative exposure in real-world environments. Question 8 — Exposure assessment I believe additional research is needed to determine whether current methods of assessing RF exposure adequately represent real-world individual exposure. A person's exposure can vary substantially depending on distance from the source, duration of exposure, number of wireless sources operating simultaneously, signal strength, modulation characteristics, and whether the individual is in a vehicle, workplace, home, or other enclosed environment. Research should investigate whether measurements based primarily on population averages or compliance testing adequately capture the exposure experienced by individuals who spend many hours in environments containing multiple wireless devices. Question 9 — Information disclosed to consumers Consumers should have access to clear and easily understandable information about wireless devices and environments, including operating frequencies, maximum and typical transmitted power, exposure characteristics, recommended separation distances, SAR where applicable, and information about simultaneous or cumulative exposure from multiple wireless sources. Consumers should also be able to make informed choices between wired and wireless connectivity where practical. For example, information about Wi-Fi access points, wireless-enabled appliances, smart-home devices, and other RF-emitting equipment would help consumers understand their potential exposure and make choices appropriate for their circumstances. Question 13(c) — Wi-Fi I recommend additional research specifically examining Wi-Fi exposure under realistic residential and workplace conditions, including prolonged exposure, proximity to access points, multiple access points operating simultaneously, multiple devices communicating concurrently, and cumulative exposure over many hours. Research should also examine whether individual responses to Wi-Fi exposure vary substantially and whether there are identifiable characteristics of individuals who report symptoms in proximity to wireless sources. Question 16 — Research priorities I believe research priorities should include: 1. Long-term and cumulative RF/EMF exposure rather than only short-duration exposure. 2. Real-world exposure measurement rather than relying solely on laboratory or compliance conditions. 3. Individual variability in reported responses to RF/EMF exposure. 4. Exposure to multiple RF sources simultaneously. 5. The relationship between distance from a wireless source and reported symptoms. 6. The relationship between duration of exposure and reported symptoms. 7. Objective, reproducible methods for studying individuals who report symptoms associated with wireless exposure. 8. Research that can distinguish RF/EMF-related effects from other potential causes of symptoms such as noise, lighting, temperature, stress, sleep deprivation, or other environmental factors.

Reports low household energy after moving from a hardwired home to one using Wi-Fi. Requests independent …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
We overall as a family feel sluggish and low energy went in our home. In Connecticut we had a smaller house and so all computers were hardwired into cable. In our new house in North Carolina, which is much bigger everything is Wi-Fi. Part of my dilemma is trusting what devices or what EMF protective-ware, blankets etc. are really helpful. You can really go down to rabbit hole spending a lot of money. I’d like some real third-party testing or government guidelines on how to protect ourselves from EMFs

Reports recurrent hand tingling during phone and wireless-mouse use and improvement after switching to a …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public who has personally experienced symptoms that I believe may be associated with exposure to wireless devices. For several years, I have experienced a recurring and increasingly concerning problem involving wireless devices, particularly when they are used near my hands. When I use my cell phone for an extended period of time, my right hand begins to develop a pronounced tingling sensation. At times, it becomes difficult and uncomfortable to text, type, or even scroll on the phone. On some occasions, I have needed to wrap a cloth around the phone in order to continue using it. I experience a similar problem with my wireless computer mouse at work. After using it for a period of time, my right hand begins to tingle and becomes uncomfortable enough that I have difficulty using the mouse. I have repeatedly had to disconnect the wireless mouse and switch to a wired mouse in order to continue working. I am actually experiencing this tingling in my right hand while writing this comment. What concerns me most is the recurring pattern. The symptoms occur during prolonged use of wireless devices in close proximity to my hand, and I have found that switching to a wired device allows me to continue using the equipment without the same problem. I recognize that my personal experience does not establish the cause of these symptoms, but I believe the pattern deserves to be taken seriously and investigated. I also work in a school environment, where I regularly see children using wireless technology, including cell phones, tablets, computers, and wireless headphones. This has made me increasingly concerned about the amount of wireless radiation to which children may be exposed throughout their daily lives. In addition to personal devices, people are surrounded by wireless infrastructure, including cell towers and increasingly widespread 5G technology. We are living in an environment of substantially greater and more continuous wireless exposure than previous generations experienced. I have researched my symptoms and found that I am not the only person who reports experiencing unusual sensations or other symptoms associated with wireless-device exposure. While I understand that individual experiences and anecdotal reports are not a substitute for scientific evidence, I believe they should be taken seriously as a reason to conduct further research and investigate unanswered questions. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a person, who is sensitive to wireless radiation and electromagnetic radiation (emr). Already sensitive to emr. our utility in British Columbia threatened to turn off our hydro power, if we would not accept a Smart Meter. I said we could not, because both my husband and I had health issues, affected by emr. Our power was turned off. My husband had just put harvested farm produce in a walk-in cooler, so he asked for the power to be turned back on. The utility said only if we accepted a Smart Meter and paid a $750 re-installation fee. We were coerced to have a Radio OFF Smart Meter. Within a week, my husband had a stroke, and a second stroke the following week. I experienced cognitive and memory dysfunction. I couldn't find an area in our house where I could sleep, tried sleeping outside, but it was too cold. It was a horrendous affair. Someone heard about us and recommended a combo of a Sine Tamer and Smart Meter Guards, which, when we finally obtained them, made life bearable, though still challenging. For a month after the emr was somewhat mitigated, I had night sweats. I slept in the living room for four years, because the SM was on the wall outside the bedrooms. BC Hydro later did a software upgrade on the SM without informing us. However, we found the employee installing it. That night, when all was quiet, there was a loud hum in the house. This persisted for the 3 weeks it took to have it uninstalled. Again, i couldn't sleep, and tried sleeping outside, in the car, and in a shed, but that was too uncomfortable, I slept fitfully for the 3 weeks. I continue to avoid public places, find it difficult to do shopping, and have a very limited social life. I couldn't even attend church. I manage to do shopping by wearing a silver threaded hat that makes excursions bearable, but it takes a lot out of me. Where I live now, I stay in the lowest emr corner of a suite, so even that is limiting. It's difficult to find a healthy home where I can live naturally. I believe that some of us, who are ehs, have toxins in our bodies from mercury (amalgams), aluminum, lead, cadmium, barium, arsenic and other toxins, in our food, air and water. Add these stressors to other stresses and to experiences of trauma and abuse, and the body reaches a tipping point where it can no longer tolerate the toxic load. It is not our fault, and we should have a choice of low emr environments to live and work in. If our society really had the health of its citizens foremost in mind, it would provide coverage for counselling support to lessen the burden of stresses. In turn, this would make for a healthier society. I do not have any wireless technology in my living space. Instead, I have a landline telephone, in-the-wall computer, in-the-wall modem, and no cell or cordless phones. I sleep with my head away from the wall and the bed about 2 feet from the wall. Of course, avoiding stress, and having emotional support and a healthy lifestyle are important. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, trauma, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.

I am electromagnetically sensitive. I bought a monitor to the Swedish standards in the early 80s which I could work on, but when my employer adopted computers in the late 80s there was no shielding. I had to leave. In the early 2000s I wired my house for ethernet cables and used shielded computers, but now there are cell towers encroaching on my house spreading cell signals RIGHT inside my home! I don`t use a cell phone but that does not protect me from everyone else`s cell towers. My daughter is far more electromagnetically sensitive than I am, We do not use a microwave and everything is ethernet or wired but she still got cancer from the cell towers encroaching more and more everywhere, including upon our home. There are no safe places anymore. I have severely disabled friends who have either died or are dying because of there being no safe places anywhere without cell towers where they can get food, water and sanitation. Now they are trying to take our landlines!!! They don`t want to maintain the wires for our phones! But we depend on wired phones! The captured regulators insist that the only harmful effects are thermal, which ignores decades of research and our lived experience. I consider anyone who uses a cell phone to be complicit in the murder of people I know and valued, included activists who were trying to educate the public. Like the tobacco firms before them, the tech firms are casting doubt on the real research, and regulators turn a blind eye to the harms because this industry brings in so much money and is so powerful a lobby. See Dr. Olle Johansson`s work and the Cellular Task Force, see the Bio Initiative Reports (https://bioinitiative.org/), see many other sources. Ask those suffering from the impacts and those who have no safe place to survive because cell towers are everywhere now and who are dying as a result. No one is counting their deaths. Some are now also cut off from all medical care because clinics and hospitals are contaminated with wifi and cell towers and cell phones. These people are marginalized and can not access work or incomes due to employers using wifi and cell phones and with towers on their buildings or across the street, so they have no way to save themselves anymore. EVERYTHING can be done with wired devices and it should be required that people do so. Convenience at the cost of killing off a % of the population that are the canaries is genocide and will eventually take down the rest of the population with them. And now the absolute insanity of tampering with the ionosphere and the earth`s natural electromagnetics could cause an extinction level event, including from satellites beaming destruction from above. Not to speak of blanketing the atmosphere with microwaves and not expecting that to cause fires and increase the warming of the planet -- and doing so from space of all things! The Roman Empire collapsed partly because it was using technologies that were convenient but which it didn`t understand fully -- like lead pipes in aquaducts. We are doing the same thing with electromagnetic radiation. You see convenience but you don`t want to see the poison that may well collapse our society.
