Reports pronounced EMF sensitivity, dizziness and ringing ears, and describes a spouse’s lymphoma after a…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am very emf sensitive and at times can only lie down and try to sleep. Otherwise I get dizzy and even nauseous. The ringing sound in my ears I believe is the Frey effect as it changes depending on the day and amount of cloud cover. My husband died this year of Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia- a type of lymphoma that began when our smart meter was installed. His head was literally on the other side of the wall of an old house that is made of lathe and plaster. I only draw inference from the experiences but I do think our regulatory agencies need to further investigate. Thank you.

Requests regulation of 2–150 kHz conducted emissions and daytime smart-meter data transfers. Attributes s…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Dear Mr. Kennedy, Firstly, I am writing to request that you move to legislate against Electrical Power Utilities being able to “dump” or move their data in the night, most frequently around 3AM. Smart meter data dumps cause citizens to wake up for what they think are unknown reasons in the middle of the night. The sleep disturbance/deprivation this is causing could be worth billions of dollars of untold economic productivity loss in our country. This could easily be remedied by legislating that the times be changed to moving the data at 10AM or 4PM in daytime. Secondly, I am requesting you pass laws to regulate kilohertz frequencies between 2-150 kHz via conducted emissions. There are currently NO governmental regulations for frequencies in this range. They are known as supraharmonic frequencies and are major contributors to chronic illnesses in our society. In other words, frequencies in this range are the most biologically active. They are also found as the data that rides on the carrier frequencies (aka subcarrier spacing) in 5G and cell phone communications. You could easily pass legislation forcing cell phone and cell tower manufacturers to use higher frequency ranges that do not have the same biological activity within humans. Besides damaging our electrical grid, supraharmonic frequencies are responsible for chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Unlike the traditional 60 Hz frequency that was once the only frequency traveling through the powerlines in the early 1900s, supraharmonic frequencies CAN pass through the human skin barrier, where they disrupt cellular and cell to cell communication. In summary, I am alerting you to these facts and calls to action: 1. Supraharmonics, aka radio frequencies between 2 and 150 kHz, are becoming more ubiquitous on our modern electrical power grids, due, in part, to devices such as smart meters. 2. These frequencies damage electrical devices and appliances. 3. There are no current United States government regulations surrounding exposure to or production of these frequencies. 4. Supraharmonic frequencies are deleterious to human health and could present a significant contribution to increased mortality and morbidity rates in the United States. 5. Regulation of these frequencies is paramount to protect human, animal, and plant populations worldwide. A detailed bibliography and more in depth article will be attached to this summary. Thank you for your attention in this matter, Paul Harding

Reports insomnia, tinnitus and migraines after moving into a home with a smart meter, and improvement aft…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Last year I moved back into my childhood home, that I had spent half my life in, that had recently been upgraded with a smart meter hung on the outside wall where my master bedroom and kids beds met. I am a sensitive person who suffers from migraine disease and cannot tolerate Florescent lights or LED lights that flash because it triggers aura and visual distortion for me much like someone with epilepsy. I had been almost symptom free with my condition for 20 years after taking precautions in my old homes, but after moving into this one again, was experiencing extreme insomnia, constant ringing in my ears, and migraines with accompanying aura. I felt very anxious and started wanting to be out of my house as often as possible. I started doing research on supplements and treatments and came across a couple forums where people were experiencing all the exact same symptoms, caused by Wifi from their smart meters. I began contacting my power company to try and see if I could change my electric meter back to the old analog style that had existed through my childhood. They told me over and over that they could do nothing, and they they had "destroyed" all the old style ones after upgrading, and they even if I was to find one used I would not be able to use it with their upgraded system. I found several people in my area that still has a non wifi analog meter that had been grandfathered in and contacted my power company again. Meanwhile I bought an EMF tester and measured our bedrooms, all were within dangerous levels of RFs and EMFs, so I moved my entire family out of the bedrooms to the farthest area of my home and all slept together in that room to see if we experienced less symptoms, and we did. Eventually I convinced the power company to switch our meter to a Non RF, non smart meter, that emits much less EMF and WIFI signal. Shortly after that we ended up building a new little home on the same property where we chose to place the electric meter 45 feet from the house on a external pole. After changes to all the meters, I have been sleeping, no insomnia, less anxiety and zero ringing in my ears, we also choose to turn off our WIFi signals at night inside our home. I strongly believe that wireless radiation is very harmful and felt awful while trying to live in that situation. I am blessed to have had the option to change things in a rural area to accommodate my needs, I would not have been able to escape in a city where there was towers and smart meters on every home. Please consider the harmful effects that wifi signals have on humans and wildlife and work to place towers away from communities and lower signals, or hard wire, so that they are not outside of safe limits of exposure causing harm to human and animal health. I have also experienced a lump in my breast on the right side where I hold my phone on my chest to look at it at night, and I do not believe that is a coincidence.

Reports a persistent high-pitched tone after a rooftop 5G installation, perceived relief after moving, an…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a [patient, parent, family member, caregiver, healthcare professional, researcher, advocate, concerned member of the public, or other]. In 2021, a 5G antennae was installed on the roof of my apartment building. I started to hear a high-pitched tone that never stopped. It was especially noticeable when it was most quiet, when there were no background noises around like traffic, conversations, or the tv. I had to play music at night to drown out the tone to go to sleep. It stopped when I moved out of that building, but comes back when I'm around those towers and remains most noticeable at night. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Reports worsening intolerance to wireless sources after living near a tower, with insomnia, pain and othe…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
i became sick because of emf in 2017 after living close to a cell tower for 3 years, enduring loss of focus, insomnia and tiredness, unexplained otherwise. but i've always been unable to use a cell phone because it used to burn my hand and ears when i tried to. i've become gradually unable to bear emf from cell phones around me, wifi, bluetooth, cell towers, smart meters, and now smartwatches and ipads. i can't use my own computer without a screen, extra keyboard and mouse plus gloves to protect me. i can't go anywhere near people have lost my job, my social life, my home, and i found a place like greenbanks to buy a property in order to not ending up homeless. my health is terrible, i can't get access to healthcare for my teeth and other issues because emf sickness is not known nor adressed by medical staff. i've become chemical sensitive too and react with headaches, burns, asthma and eczema when exposed to certain perfumes, smokes, smells, chemicals, drugs, fabrics. my life has slowly become miserable and i don't see how and when the governments will finally listen and inform the general population and medical profesionnals and academics about the dangers of the emf on the nervous system, and the consequences and comorbidity attached to emf sickness syndrom

Describes a spouse’s severe reported wireless sensitivity, burning sensations and disrupted sleep, includ…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
Personal Report Regarding Severe EMF and Wireless Radiation Sensitivity My wife, Lana, has experienced severe and persistent reactions that she associates with electromagnetic fields and wireless radiation. This has been happening for years and has had a profound effect on her health, sleep, daily life, finances, and our relationship. Lana is extremely sensitive to environments where wireless signals are present. At certain times of the day, she describes an intense burning sensation in her head that feels as though her brain is on fire. She also experiences burning sensations in different areas of her body. These episodes can become so intense that she feels she has to leave the environment immediately. She also reports being able to sense when we are approaching or passing cellular towers while driving. There have been many occasions when she has reacted before I said anything about a tower being nearby. She also develops unexplained bruising overnight, which she believes is associated with the same exposure. We live in Palm Coast, Florida, but this problem is not limited to one house or one location. Lana experiences these symptoms in many different places. At night, she takes extensive steps to reduce wireless exposure inside the home. She turns off or unplugs the Wi-Fi router and other wireless devices, yet she continues to experience symptoms that she associates with signals coming from neighboring homes and nearby cellular towers. Her sleep has been severely affected. She often moves from room to room during the night trying to find a place where she feels less affected. There are many nights when we do not sleep in the same home because she feels she has to leave in order to get relief. On September 20, 2026, Lana was at home in Palm Coast when the burning sensation became so severe that she felt she could no longer stay in the house. She left, drove to a wooded area surrounded by trees, parked her vehicle there, and slept in the car overnight. There have also been many nights when Lana has slept in a tent on the beach because she felt unable to remain in the house. I did not always know she was doing this. When I learned about it, it frightened me because I worry constantly about her being alone outdoors at night. On other nights, the symptoms become so severe that she checks into a hotel just to get away from the environment she is experiencing. Over approximately the last three years, I estimate that we have spent more than $80,000 on hotel stays for this reason. These were not vacations or optional trips. They were attempts to find places where she felt she could sleep and function normally. The impact on our personal life has been enormous. Many nights we sleep apart. When we are together and she is suffering badly, she will sometimes come into the room where I am sleeping so I can hold her and help her through the episode. I worry about her constantly. Her sensitivity has affected where she sleeps, where she travels, where she feels safe, and even where she chooses to live. She has purchased another home outside the United States in an effort to find an environment where she experiences less exposure and can live more normally. This is not a minor inconvenience. It has changed the way we live. I am asking HHS to take reports like Lana’s seriously and investigate them in a rigorous, real-world way. Research should include long-term exposure, cumulative exposure from multiple sources, cellular towers, Wi-Fi, neighboring wireless networks, smart devices, sleep disruption, neurological symptoms, burning sensations, skin or vascular symptoms, and whether certain individuals are significantly more sensitive than others. I also believe researchers should study people like Lana in controlled environments while measuring actual RF and EMF exposure levels at the same time symptoms are being recorded. If symptoms repeatedly rise and fall with measurable environmental changes, that information could be extremely valuable. People experiencing severe symptoms deserve to be heard, documented, and studied carefully. Lana’s experience has affected nearly every aspect of her life, and I sincerely hope this investigation leads to serious scientific research into why some individuals appear to react so strongly to modern wireless environments.

Attributes recurring sleep disruption to phones and smart meters, reporting improvement during a remote v…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a person affected by wireless radiation. It's about sleep. Sleep is critical to well-being in every sense. I used to sleep very well. Then, cell phones came into the bedroom, then the Smart Meters outside the bedroom, and then the sleep disturbances began. Poor, interrrupted sleep. At first, I couldn't figure out how I had gone from being a good sleeper to such a poor sleeper. But, on a remote vacation in the desert (no phones, no WiFi), I started sleeping well again and when I got back home, I resumed my poor sleeping issues. The correlation between my sleep and my proximity to wireless radiation, as in the preceding example, has been shown again and again. There is no doubt that wireless radiation affects sleep.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I began to be affected by EMFs in 2018 (BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IT) when, without notifying our property manager, ComEd took out the 36 analog meters and replaced them with SMART METERS in a room next to my front door. I began to have symptoms I'd never had before: headaches, dizziness, heart palpitations, and insomnia (very uncommon for me), unexplained anxiety and unusual fatigue, plus occasional tingling and numbness. After a month+ I saw a ComEd technician opening the electric room, and I asked him if he was affected by the EMR. He said "yes, but I need to keep my job despite how I'm affected. I invited him into my apt. and we talked and shared our COMMON SYMPTOMS, commiserating with each other. I asked him if he would accompany me in creating a program about this at my church, but he was too frightened to do this.

Reports a family member’s seizures after moving near a tower and rejecting a preschool because of a tower…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I have a family member who started having seizures after moving into a new home half a mile from a cell phone tower. I also found a preschool my wife and I loved for our daughter but opted against it as there was a cell tower literally on top of the school in the parking lot. Who can possibly justify subjecting children to such exposure. We need to pause, gather more data, and proceed with caution regarding health vs prioritizing faster internet speeds.
