I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a healthcare professional, I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

Reports head, ear and arm discomfort with phones and computers, describes low-SAR and distancing choices,…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am commenting for myself and in support of increased evaluation of the negative effects of wireless radiation. I first experienced the effects when my husband bought me a cell phone. I tried it out for a very short period maybe it was only hours or maybe it was only minutes and felt and immediate effect of my head feeling fuzzy. I had already read up on my concerns about wireless radiation and didn't want a cell phone because of that but once I felt how bad the effects were I had him take the cell phone back! Some years later I was using wireless telephone not a cell phone talking out in the backyard for more than an hour. I realize that it made my head feel sick and got off the phone but continued to have my head feel fuzzy and sick for hours afterwards! Then I knew how dangerous it is to use a wireless telephone especially when it was far from the base! Now if I use my cell phone up to my ear my ear canal will start aching right away! And in the past when I have rarely continue to use it I have felt pain in my shoulder on the side that I used the cell phone and it hurt all the way down to my hand! I searched and found a cell phone with the lowest SAR rating! I always keep the phone away from my head! Nevertheless if I've used the phone and used my finger to touch it for very long my finger will start hurting and if I continue the pain goes up my arm! Also if I am sitting near my computer and using it for very long my head starts feeling fuzzy and sick! It is irresponsible for the commission to have not studied this previously and it is absolutely necessary to bring out the truth of the harm to the public! I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health. Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of registered nurse. My close friend’s husband has been fighting testicular cancer believed to be a result of exposure from a cellphone’s wireless radiation. I believe HHS should address this issue. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Reports permanent sudden hearing loss and earlier ear ringing while living in a condominium during pregna…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
To whom it may concern, Upon seeing the you tube video on this study, I thought of an area to evaluate that may pertain to public health. When living in a condo in Canyon Country, California from 2005 to 2017, the utility company began doing some type of electronic meter reading in our community at some point. During these years I was either pregnant or nursing babies most of the time. While at home in the condo, I would periodically hear a strange type of ringing in my ears at a certain frequency, as if a scan was going through the area. It is possible my experience was caused by reconnaissance scans, the WiFi used for my husbands remote architecture work on his computer, or some other unknown reason. Our family also had cell phones. I experienced SSNHL in my right ear in October of 2014 that was permanent. The doctors said, it was most likely caused by damage to the small hairs in the inner ear, and was more common in pregnant people. At the time, I believed it was from exposure to some type of virus going around, possibly in active military member circles of the United States Air Force, or defense communities of the Antelope Valley near Lancaster, California. I thought I should share this with you. Thank you for your care for the American people, and your dedicated service. It’s a true blessing to be in our country. Warm regards, Stacey Matthews

I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a [patient, parent, family member, caregiver, healthcare professional, researcher, advocate, concerned member of the public, or other]. PERSONALIZE YOUR COMMENT HERE: Tell HHS how wireless radiation has affected you, your child, your family, or someone you care about. You may describe the source and duration of the exposure, health effects experienced, when they began, whether reducing exposure made a difference, and how these experiences have affected daily life. If you are an ally, describe why you support people affected by wireless radiation and why you believe HHS should address this issue. I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence. Reports extensive household symptoms after a tower installation, perceived high readings and improvement …

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. After the installation of a 5G cell tower in November 2021, constant high levels of microwave radiation began hitting my sleeping area through my bedroom window. As a result, my husband and I became very injured and sickly, experiencing the following non-exhaustive list of symptoms over an 18-month period: Sleep disturbances • Insomnia • Chronic fatigue • Never feeling refreshed Mood disturbances • Depression • Sadness • Irritability • Rage Vision problems • Blurry vision • Dry eyes • Floaters • Vision loss • Eye twitching • Sensitivity to light Neurological problems • Memory loss • Brain fog • Dizziness • Feeling disoriented • Saying the wrong words • Dropping things Heart problems • Palpitations • Chest pain • High blood pressure Hearing issues • Ringing in the ears • Hearing loss Physical pain • Sharp pain in ears • Joint and muscle pain • Leg cramping • Headaches • Burning and stabbing pain Hormonal issues • Hair loss • Thyroid enlargement • Thyroid nodule • Reproductive issues Metabolic issues • Weight gain • Inability to lose weight • Excessive weight loss Irregular temperature regulation • Getting overheated • Excessive sweating • Facial flushing Other • Teeth grinding • Hand tremors • Urinary issues • Aggressive nosebleeds • Trouble breathing • Coughing • Coughing up blood • Nausea • Dry heaving Based on MyChart data dating back to 2007, I went from an average of 2.5 doctor's visits per year to 22 doctor's visits within 18 months. The above list of ailments was generated from our doctors’ records during this time. During the 18 months of pain and sickness, we thought the air quality or pollution were responsible for how terrible we felt. Then, on a whim, I ordered an RF/Microwave radiation scanner, which led us to the source of our affliction. A thorough scan revealed radiation levels so high that the scanner could not register them (the meter’s maximum reading was 20,000 microwatts per meter squared). The readings came from a cell tower about 1.5 blocks away, which emitted a direct beam of radiation into our bedroom window, exposing us nightly to continuous microwave radiation. Upon discovering this, we blocked the radiation from coming into our window, which brought the signal down to almost nothing, almost eliminating the levels where we slept. That night, I experienced my first night of solid 8 straight hours of sleep in over a year. That was the first night that neither of us woke up repeatedly to use the restroom. Following this was the first morning in over a year that my husband was able to get out of bed without excruciating joint pain. That was the first night that our bodies began to heal. Since removing ourselves from this harmful environment 2 years ago, nearly all our symptoms have disappeared. I have returned to my previous rate of 2.5 doctor’s visits per year. All that remains for me is a shrinking thyroid nodule and a sensitivity to RF/microwave radiation exposure that yields unpleasant to unbearable physical reactions. The entire experience, including its aftermath, has been extremely difficult, scary, and sad for my family. It took two years to recover emotionally and find the strength to share my story. Although I hate telling people about this, I do so out of love, because I don’t want anyone to go through what happened to us.

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure. I am responding from the perspective of a concerned member of the public and as one who is negatively affected by man-made electromagnetic radiation. I personally suffer from tinnitus and severe vertigo. When I was living in a city with smart meters, cell towers, neighbors wi-fi, etc. my symptoms were becoming more severe as time went by. About 2 years, ago we moved to an acreage where the emf levels are low the great majority of the time and since we have moved here I have not had any more vertigo attacks. In my opinion, man-made electromagnetic radiation is the latest, greatest environmental pollutant and it has become ubiquitous in our present world. Many people as well as all life in the environment is negatively affected, as we have evolved to function in the natural electromagnetic environment.

Reports tinnitus, vertigo, memory and sleep problems and improvement after reducing perceived EMF sources…

ORIGINAL COMMENT · UNEDITED TEXT
My ears rang continuously until I learned to eliminate the EMF sources. I had two serious bouts of vertigo lasting hours. When I felt I was going to go into a “spin” I would force myself to stay awake and get out of that environment. My eyes were doing funny things even when they were closed. Once I was driving. I was not sleepy but I had to struggle to keep my eyes from closing. Myself and my dog were up several times a night and I always felt tired. We slept through the night the day the sources were identified. Brain fog all the time and I started forgetting things. I could tell when 5 G came to my area, and multiple cell towers. My symptoms became worse. As I learned to shield myself, the symptoms are not as severe. There are still two rooms in my house that I cannot sleep in and I believe it may be related to my two neighbor’s smart meters.
