In my occupation 20 years ago I was required daily to wear a 5 watt walkie-talkie radio that operated in the 140-160 Mhz frequency band. After approximately 3 years I developed a nodule on my right chest in close proximity to the area that the radio "rubber duckie" antenna touched on my shirt. I sought medical care and on the advice of a surgeon I had the nodule removed. The nodule was about the size of a pea and was biopsied and found to be non-cancerous. After this incident I continued to use and work with these radios but I no longer wore them on my belt. I did not have any more issued after this incident.
