I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure.
I am responding from the perspective of a parent, family and concerned member of the public.
My children are exposed to wireless radiation all day while at school. They tell me how it gives them headaches and makes them tired. They come home to detox from it as we have no wireless internet and mobile phones are turned off at night. There are so many toxins that we are all exposed to and our buckets get full very quickly now. Wireless radiation is one of these toxins and because we can't see it people are not aware. The increases in cancer, mental disorders, ADHD, autism and more are from bombardment from all these toxins. And we are bombarded by wireless radiation all the time. There is no education on the effects of wireless radiation. People sleep with their phones on next to their bed and wifi systems on. There needs to be widespread education on how to properly use mobile phones and reduce wireless exposure. There should be laws against building homes and offices next to phone towers and phone towers being erected near schools.
I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.
I urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.
Thank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.

I live in a condominium complex and my building has five attached units. Five out of the five units have residents who have been diagnosed with cancer, four with bladder cancer and one with lymphoma. We have had the water tested by the State DEP and the water shows no reasons for concern. There are, seven cell towers within three miles of our building, two of which are within less than one-half mile.

To the Department of Health and Human Services:
I am submitting this comment in response to the RFI on EMF/RF radiation and wireless exposure (FR Doc. 2026-19252). My perspective is that of an individual and a healthcare industry professional with a background in medical device and healthcare sales.
I support HHS's decision to systematically re-evaluate the state of the science on RF/EMF exposure, including at levels below current federal limits, and I urge the Department to weigh the following evidence as it identifies research priorities:
• In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization, classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as a Group 2B "possible human carcinogen" — the same category as lead and DDT — based on limited evidence from human and animal studies.
• The National Toxicology Program's $30 million, decade-long study (final results published November 2018) found "clear evidence" that male rats exposed to high levels of RF radiation like that used in 2G/3G cell phones developed malignant heart schwannomas, with some evidence of tumors in the brain and adrenal gland as well. NTP's own scientists cautioned that whole-body, high-level rodent exposure doesn't map directly onto typical human cell phone use, but called the tumor link "real."
• A separate, independent study by the Ramazzini Institute in Italy — the largest of its kind, involving 2,448 rats exposed over their full lifespans — found the same type of heart schwannoma in male rats exposed to RF levels representative of environmental cell-tower emissions, not just handset-level exposure. The researchers noted this reinforced the NTP findings using a different, lower-intensity exposure model.
• Current FCC exposure limits, which the RFI itself notes, were largely set based on short-term thermal (heating) effects and have not been comprehensively updated to account for this newer body of long-term, non-thermal evidence.
I recognize that federal agencies including FDA and WHO currently maintain that existing evidence does not establish RF exposure at regulated levels causes harm in humans, and that some researchers dispute the rodent-to-human relevance of the NTP and Ramazzini findings. That disagreement is exactly why this RFI matters: the existing evidence base is genuinely contested, not settled, and deserves a fresh, rigorous federal review rather than reliance on decades-old thermal-only standards.
I would encourage HHS to:
• Prioritize research on cumulative, long-term, non-thermal exposure, particularly for children and other potentially sensitive populations;
• Commission an independent re-evaluation of whether current exposure standards adequately reflect the NTP and Ramazzini findings;
• Ensure findings are coordinated across FDA, NIH, and CDC and translated into practical guidance for families, schools, and healthcare providers.
My family has personally experienced health disruptions after being exposed to “healthy” levels.
Thank you for undertaking this review and for the opportunity to comment.
Local communities must have control over their environment and hopefully one day soon reject the technology. It is an overreach of the federal government to control and direct this invasion of American communities. My cancer diagnosis in Jan 2020 can easily be attributed to direct beams from a "repeater" in the public area behind my home office.
Wireless radiation and it's effects is something that has been on my mind since the introduction of 5G. As a parent and concerned citizen, I do not believe enough research was conducted before the US changed to 5G towers. It seems to me that since that happened, there has been more and more people affected by cancer today than in any other time in history. I would really like to see more research done in this field. This is why I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation.
My dog slept by the wifi router and got a brain tumor and a colon tumor. Please warn people of the danger of sleeping near these and similar devices. Thank you!
Anybody who's been around the block understands that EMS are not healthy. ADD, OCD, OTHER PSYCHOLOGICAL AND MENTAL CONDITIONS AS WELL AS CANCER HAVE ALL INCREASED DRAMATICALLY SINCE WE STARTED EMITTING ANY KIND OF WAVES INTO THE ATMOSPHERE. AND THE STRONGER THE WORST. AT A MINIMUM KEEP CELL PHONE TOWERS AWAY FROM SCHOOLS AND HIGHLY POPULATED AREAS PLEASE!
This topic on EMF's RF radiation and ELF's is bigger than what most people know or think. The human body is run by electrical frequencies and that is how the over 36 trillion cells within our body communicate with one another. If that communication is interfered with by frequencies, then the body is compromised in so many fashions that it is how to calculate the damage that is being done to it. As an example, if you are driving your car and you have your AM radio on, and then pass under high tension power lines, you notice that the program you are listening to stops because of great interference from going under the power lines. That same effect happens to our human body every time we are exposed to external frequencies from various sources. Our human cells during that exposure stop communicating with one another and the body is greatly compromised during this exposed time. Our human systems stop functioning to a great degree. Our immune system is not protecting us as it was designed to do. It's been reported that people who have homes with high powered wires over them have had many illnesses including cancer. When our cells cannot communicate with one another, this becomes a cascading effect that ultimately results in disease formation and debilitating breakdowns in the proper function of the human body. If this is not corrected soon, all society will be at risk of functional breakdowns that will results in a non functional and a non productive society at large. I recommend that the placement of all these frequencies be reconsidered and placed in low risk areas and farmed into population centers considering the lowest possible exposure to the public at large. The technology and innovation is there to mitigate the risk to all. We just have to have the will to implement it.
I am a Family Physician practicing and licensed in Illinois with 38 years of experience. Personally, I notice that if my wifi router is on, I do not sleep as well so I have to turn it off at night. Since a smart meter was installed at our home I also notice my sleep has been worse. We were never notified when the smart meter was installed nor given the option to opt out. I have treated many patients who are sensitive to EMFs and cannot be around them which leads them to lead very isolating lives. I've seen the studies that show EMFs cause an influx of calcium into cells thus depleting ATP stores. I've seen the studies showing that cell phones placed near the skull/ear increase the temperature and glucose uptake of brain cells all the way to the center of the brain, thus making them look like cancer cells. I've seen and heard neurosurgeons who report more acoustic neuromas and other brain tumors on the side where cell phones are used.
Please investigate the health effects of EMFs, Wifi, Cell towers and cell phones so we can come up with safety guidelines that are reasonable. Please be aware that powerful industrial lobbyists will try to influence and subvert real scientific debate and research on these issues. The health and well being of this generation and the next few depends on what you can do to help safe guard our health from any harms imposed by EMFs.
We need to clamp down on the EMR created by private companies for their profit and not with our safety in mind. This includes involuntary exposures like smart meters, dirty electricity, and any involuntary appliance or transmitter that generates EMR. These signals are causing illnesses that cannot be proven scientifically because no one looks for or documents 'problems' when revenue loss could happen if they find them.
Please tell me why we are so inundated with cell towers and transmitters regardless of whether or not we need better signals or want them. From my home I have direct views of a huge cell tower, why is it necessary to add extra transmitters to towers and on our light poles. I bought a tester and everywhere in my home it reads 'extreme' and blinks with no wireless phones installed and the router turned off. I cannot escape extreme signals. And I do not know how to protect my grandson, daughter and myself from these signals. We should be able to turn off the signals so we can sleep in peace and rest our bodies. We have no choice in the matter. There is no recourse other than moving and who can afford that, and even then, it is hard to find a safer location. There needs to be limits that are safe. There needs to be studies done to set safe limits by an unbiased group who is not 'bought' by these private companies. You wonder why cancer is exploding. This is just one of the problems that needs fixing. So, fix it. Give proper guidelines and limits based on these unbiased studies to the companies and let them figure out how to accomplish their goals without hurting citizens. WE NEED TO REDUCE CURRENT EXPOSURE BEFORE IMPLEMENTING ANY NEW TECHNOLOGY AND AT THE COMPANIES EXPENSE. TAXPAYERS CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE INCREASES FOR COMPANY PROFITS.
