The fact that the Telecommunications Act of 1996 doesn't allow health concerns when local governments deny permits for cell towers is absolutely concerning! AND the fact that the safety limits haven't been updated since 1996 is absurd! I live in a neighborhood near a community of people that have Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity and I have been fighting a cell tower with them that will drastically affect their health and learning about how cell towers effect health in the process is very disturbing. They moved to this rural area away from cell towers and built their homes specifically to protect them for EMFs and RFs and now they are about to turn on the new tower so close to their community. The FCC has too much power over the will of the people and this has got to end! This illness and the effects of EMFs and RFs cannot be ignored, the law needs to change NOW in favor of We The People, not big corporations!
