Study type: review

Health physics · 1971 · PubMed

Reviews experimental literature on power and time thresholds for eye opacity formation from continuous-wave microwave radiation. Uses vitreous humor temperature measurements to develop an analytical model predicting power and time thresholds at 2.45 GHz, and derives two empirical equations predicting thresholds as a function of frequency.
