This is us.
Lou Hendricks right up front with the “USE CELL PHONE SAFETY” sign, and my great artist friend beside him holding the raw truth: “CELL PHONES KILL”.
We spent the entire day picketing right in front of a Verizon store. They called the police on us… but we were standing on the public sidewalk, so they had to let us stay. We kept warning people all day long.
A local mattress store across the street even brought us cold drinks because they respected what we were doing.
According to historical searches, this 2003 RF Safe protest appears to be the earliest documented picture of people physically picketing a major cell phone retailer specifically over radiation and safety concerns. Nothing like it exists before this.
This wasn’t for show. This wasn’t for likes.
RF Safe has been walking the walk since 1998 — nearly 30 years of standing up when almost no one else was.
We were out here before the iPhone. Before mass adoption. Before most people even knew what EMF radiation was.
The message hasn’t changed. Our commitment never has.
The science has only gotten stronger. The risks to our children are clearer than ever.
We’re still here. Still fighting. Still answering the phone.
