I am responding as: an individual\n3a. Type of wireless or RF/EMF sources involved (e.g., mobile phones, Wi-Fi, smart meters…)wifi, mobile phones, smart meters, cell towers\n3b. Nature, duration, frequency, and approximate timing (e.g., years):I have reacted for 24 years, and had to move house because if it.\n3c. Adverse health effect(s) experienced:chronic fatigue, memory loss, headaches, twitchy and cramping muscles, eye focus, pressure in my head, sleep problems, unable to concentrate at times, heart palpitations, dizziness, burning sensation, tinitus, tingling on my skin, bladder problems as if I have cystitis, lower immune system, weakness\n3d. Time from first exposure to first appearance of adverse health effects; and did a change in exposure coincide with the onset of adverse effects:Almost immediately. I very close to the university where they were developing the technology. The top of the building was suddenly covered with the emitters they put on the towers. Immediately when a wifi box was put into the house and cordless phone was also bought.\n3e. Was medical evaluation or treatment sought? (Optionally:) Was there a diagnosis?Yes, the diagnosis was it was all in my head. Then I finally met a doctor who took my blood and looked at it under a microscope in his office and my blood cells were clumping together, not flowing freely as has been seen by many scientists studying exposure to EMF's. My blood look just like those discovered. by the scientists.\n3f. Were steps taken to reduce or eliminate exposure, and were there subsequent changes in the effects?Yes, moved house. Put ethernet cables throughout the house and corded phones. Don't use a mobile phone. It made a big difference to how I felt.\n3g. Any supporting documentation? This includes Scientific Reports, exposure measurements, or other relevant information:Health risk from wireless? The debate is over. by Associate Prof. Olle Johansson\nand Associate Adj. Professor Einar Flydal\n25 April 2014\nThe debate on health risks from mobiles, wireless LANs, baby calls and other wireless equipment based on microwaves, is, in fact, over – at least from a professional health and biophysics\nperspective.\nAdditional Details you would like to share about your experiences of adverse health effects you believe to be associated with exposure to wireless radiation or EMF's:Digestive and gut problems, sensitivity to food, problems socializing with friends. travelling, staying in hotels, walking around cities, eating in restaurants. It has effected my life severly. I am very isolated now, where as I used to be a very much an extravert, visiting museums, art galleries etc but now I have to be very careful where I go, how long I can tolerate the environment before I need to return home and retreat to under my protective net. This has caused a lose of friends, and a lot of contact with people. Because it is invisible people don't believe that I am struggling to stay normal and lead a normal life. When I am somewhere that has no EMF's I am my oldself. But that is rare these days as they are determined to cover the whole world.\nB1a. Sources you experience as causing you Adverse Effects:cell towers, wifi, cordless and mobile phones, smart meters, electric cars\nB1b. Sources you can sense, but don't seem to harm you:Non\nB1c. Sources you can use without sensing or being harmed:Non\nB1d. Sources that seem to provide benefit (i.e., electrotherapy):grounding on the earth, bednet\nB2a. Health conditions you think may contribute to your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless:I had no health conditions when I became sensitive to EMFs.\nB2b. Health conditions you don't necessarily associate with your sensitivity to EMFs including wireless, but might be relevant: \nB3. For each subquestion please list up to 5 drugs or therapies or home remedies (if any)\nB3a. That you recommend, as they helped you tolerate or recover from EMF exposure:I have found nothing other than trying to live with it as best I can. Removing all exposure when in the house, so stronger for the times I do go out of the house.\nB3b. That you recommend, but you’re not positive that they help:Non\nB3c. That helped you but you don’t recommend. (e.g., the benefit did not last long or the side effects were too harmful):taking supplements, acupuncture, cleanses,\nB3d. Treatments that had no effect:Any exposure has made it worse.\nB3e. Treatments that made your sensitivity worse:65-74\nB4. What is your age range?65-74\nB5. What year did you become aware of your sensitivity to wireless radiation or electromagnetic fields?2002\nB6. What country, state, province, or major city were you living in when you first noticed your sensitivity to wireless or electromagnetic fields?Edinburgh, Scotland","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6592","tags":["health-experiences","sleep-cognition","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"ace38a4bc2366cc1d590a052138d60c9b4b17958d7412fb093deeb8c6e94bd7a","slug":"health-experiences-comment-6592","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6592","body_sha256":"6c1be76128916612ee77535a55fd020fcc4688567d94b668aaefa7f54d726b22","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"ehs","topics":[{"id":"ehs","evidence":"became sensitive to EMFs"},{"id":"neurological","evidence":"memory loss, headaches"},{"id":"cardiac","evidence":"heart palpitations"},{"id":"access","evidence":"I am very isolated now"},{"id":"optical","evidence":"ethernet cables throughout the house"}],"summary":"The commenter describes decades of sensitivity with neurological, cardiac, and other symptoms, relocation and wired conversion, and substantial social isolation.
