I don't feel like you get any help.\n\nI worked as a computer technician with a great interest in electronics. When I became electrosensitive.\n\nWhen I was working around 1990, I got an NMT mobile phone installed in my car.\n\nNMT was a big problem. I became sensitive to all electronics and solvents, etc.\n\nI was on sick leave for 17 years. Then I had to start working in gardening and as a school janitor. \n\nI got an ABC 80 computer early on, which I used to program a lot.\n\nBefore I got sick, my mouth was full of amalgam. I lived in an apartment with a printing shop underneath for a few years, and the apartment sometimes smelled of glue. I did my military service on a robot boat with asbestos insulation. And was exposed to a lot of radar. I tanned in a solarium and had a waterbed with sky-high electric fields. For a while, I may have had a mobile antenna outside my office where I worked on the outside of the house.\n\n When I was programming in my youth, it sometimes happened that my brain would shut down (mental standstill. Before it broke out, I turned down the brightness on the TV. (contrast)\n\nI had a cordless phone in the house where I worked. Someone had it before me and got sick. I don't know what it was from. When I got sick, it was during a course with a lot of computers. It was way too much.\n\nI was very sensitive to regular wired phones, which we ended up with. I have a cell phone now but always use the speaker function. \n\nI now take antidepressants that dampen the sensitivity.\n\nI feel less sensitive to radar and wifi and cell phones today. It was a good thing that NMT was discontinued. I have the most sensitivity to power lines now, apart from all kinds of solvents. It was probably a good thing that they removed the lead in gasoline. I avoid cell phone towers as much as possible and exposing myself to too much.\n\nThere is a lot more I could cover, but this will have to do.\n\nLennart Ohs\n\nLennart.aahs@gmail.com \n\nStockholm \n\nSweden","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4957","tags":["health-experiences","exposure-places"],"source_hash":"385026f6f5589706d6f0935e3c8a0e0eb813c0624afe5ada3b1092a71c18378a","slug":"health-experiences-comment-4957","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4957","body_sha256":"2ec0a54225adea130d92d4400ee136f4ec40d025e28e3d452da84b967cbc960e","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"ehs","topics":[{"id":"ehs","evidence":"I am now 62 years old and have been electrosensitive since I was 28, more than half my life.\n\nIn Sweden, this is silenced, doctors w"},{"id":"occupational","evidence":"ked).
