HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1442 https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1442 I had been having palpitations for most of my life and in 2018 I saw Dr. Sheryl Garrett in Petaluma. She used the Ziopatch and l was instructed to put it onto my chest for about 1 week. This resulted in no noticeable effects or so I could discern. Now I am a 79 year old woman and when Dr. John Hunter put the Ziopatch onto me I was not concerned, but after 3 days I acquired a fibrillation which was very strong and ongoing for more that 4 hours. I went to the Emergency room as I had never had such strong and regular and ongoing palpitations in my life. This was on 3/20/24. But Dr. Ridgely Oliver Muller at Providence Hospital in Santa Rosa said that this was not to be concerned with and he had them too and they did not hurt him at all. They had given me a EKG which showed palpitations only. I was tired after a 3 hour wait and the fibrillation had subsided, thank goodness,,,,,,,, Since Dr. Hunter had retired I followed up with a Dr. Nathan Anderson. He informed me that I do not have fibrilliations at all but all I have a Palpitations and he could not treat me. I had written a complaint to the Providence hospital. My contention was that these were fibrillations and that the Ziopatch caused this disturbance in my heart. He did not agree and made me leave. Now I see no one for my fibrillations as they are only palpitations! I have spoken to others who have fibrillations and our experiences seem identical, but maybe I am too sensitive. However I will never us that Ziopatch again.
