I have severe symptoms that I believe may be connected to electrical devices or wireless exposure.\n\nPossible triggers include computers, phones, Wi-Fi, appliances, lights, and vehicles. My symptoms include burning or electrical feelings, pressure, dizziness, nausea, ringing ears, poor balance, confusion, extreme tiredness, and sleep problems. These symptoms can make it hard to work, use a computer, travel, get medical care, and participate in the community.\n\nWhen I tried to explain my symptoms, providers didn't fully examine me. When I reported these sensitivities and could not explain them clearly, I was called psychotic and lacking insight. I was then forced to undergo a year of court-ordered psychiatric medication and injections, even though I reported having prior harmful reactions to these drugs. This only made the symptoms worse.\n\nDoctors should not assume these torturous symptoms are psychiatric. They should first consider head injury, medication effects, neurological problems, sensory disabilities, sleep problems, trauma, and environmental causes.\n\nPlease consider that HHS:\n\n- create a simple way for patients to report symptoms and possible exposures;\n- study combined and long-term exposure from common devices;\n- require careful medical testing before symptoms are labeled psychiatric; and\n- support reasonable low-exposure and communication accommodations.\n\nPeople should not be dismissed simply because science has not yet explained their symptoms.\n","attachments":["https://downloads.regulations.gov/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-0881/attachment_1.pdf","https://downloads.regulations.gov/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-0881/attachment_1.docx"],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-0881","tags":["health-experiences","sleep-cognition","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"bf66b50ef2e56506b70d96bdd5133cc7c378539df33946bbc5066019593605c3","slug":"health-experiences-comment-0881","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-0881","body_sha256":"4dc5dbf2ef745302c5a83bbb8d39b39eb3b4a3bc8e545213d6781df4cbbea5ce","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"access","topics":[{"id":"access","evidence":"e, confusion, extreme tiredness, and sleep problems.
