HHS-OASH-2026-0397-5763 https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-5763 Residential Wi-Fi is discussed in this docket as a radiofrequency source. The exposure I logged at an Xfinity gateway was the extremely-low-frequency magnetic field, and I made no radiofrequency measurement at all. Over months, a TM-192D meter about 4 feet 6 inches from the modem showed a recurring morning elevation around 10:00 a.m. CST, typically 15–20 mG (about 1.5–2.0 µT), sometimes held near that level for on the order of an hour, lined up with the time I woke. Those mornings were when motivation was worst. After the modem's own Wi-Fi was turned off and a low-power Wi-Fi bridge was put in its place, a spot check read 0.127 µT, the morning peaks did not return, and the report describes four years of lower readings and of waking with ordinary drive, through March 2026. There was no controlled re-exposure. I ask HHS to treat the ELF magnetic field of the gateway as part of Wi-Fi exposure, to require time-of-day disclosure of that field, and to test simple equipment changes as a way to reduce it.
