The FCC standards for exposure are really quite a joke, not having been updated since 1996. Yet, even if those standards were adequate at the time, which is highly questionable, the amount of radiation from the above sources has exploded, especially since 2010, and includes parts of the electromagnetic frequency spectrum which were not in common use at the time. \nIt is a clear dereliction of duty to roll out features like 5G, Starlink, and Bluetooth without first PROVING that this radiation is harmless. The burden of proof should be on the companies and the regulators, not citizens. \n\nThe FCC should be in high gear to correct the deficiencies in its own studies, its professed ignorance of studies which show harmful effects, and revoke any and all licenses that can't meet the bar of proven safety without further delay and obfuscation.\n\nThe HHS has been absolutely ineffective and disinterested in protecting humans, animals, and insects from RF radiation. There can be no excuses. The only response that is worth listening to from HHS is a moratorium on any further deployment of any source of RF emissions, and notice to the industry that its continued license to operate will be provisional for 12 months pending proof based on controlled studies that RF emissions are harmless. \n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1756","tags":["exposure-places","policy-standards","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"be1bf60bfd30f703539bf332a9ea73e84fcf7120b1c53e7fdf6659b2ac6b30e8","slug":"exposure-places-comment-1756","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1756","body_sha256":"ef13af5c9fc1e1bd9e31b602ef13226409739a591fae56303f9e34778df63f73","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"standards","topics":[{"id":"standards","evidence":"nse that is worth listening to from HHS is a moratorium on any further deployment of any source of RF emission"},{"id":"research","evidence":"isional for 12 months pending proof based on controlled studies that RF emissions are harmless."},{"id":"satellites","evidence":"iction of duty to roll out features like 5G, Starlink, and Bluetooth without first PROVING that this radiati"},{"id":"environment","evidence":"tive and disinterested in protecting humans, animals, and insects from RF radiation.
