HHS-OASH-2026-0397-7074 https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-7074 Subject: Public comment regarding docket HHS-OASH-2026-0397-0001 – Personal testimony on electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) To whom it may concern, I am writing this testimony in response to the Request for Information (RFI) concerning the health effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and wireless technologies. I suffer from severe electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS). My experience provides a concrete illustration of how environmental factors can combine to form a highly toxic "cocktail" that is devastating to human health. 1. Background and initial vulnerability I have suffered from severe allergies since childhood. During my early years, I received several dental amalgams. I am convinced that this early exposure to heavy metals created a state of systemic vulnerability and a toxic overload, rendering my body particularly sensitive to subsequent environmental stressors. 2. The turning point in the 2000s and the "toxic cocktail" effect The massive rollout of wireless technologies and environmental electromagnetic fields (EMF), which began in the early 2000s, marked a critical turning point for my health. The proliferation of mobile networks, Wi-Fi, and connected devices acted as a major catalyst. While I already struggled with managing my allergies, the ambient, omnipresent electromagnetic radiation began to severely exacerbate my existing symptoms (ringing in the ears, headaches, insomnia, diffuse pain, nosebleeds, etc.). The synergy between the heavy metals present in my body and the constant bombardment of radiofrequencies has created a destructive cumulative effect on my nervous and immune systems. 3. Daily impact and consequences for my life Living with EHS (electromagnetic hypersensitivity) and MCS (multiple chemical sensitivity) is a constant battle for survival. Constant exposure to modern technologies triggers debilitating physical symptoms, making it nearly impossible to find a safe place to live—one free from toxic substances and radiation. This situation has severely limited my ability to work, maintain a social life, use public transportation, or access conventional healthcare facilities without risking an exacerbation of my symptoms or a total physical collapse. 4. Recommendations for the HHS/OASH Drawing on my personal experience, I urge the HHS to consider the following points: • Recognize the cumulative impact: Research should focus on the synergistic effects—the "toxic cocktail"—resulting from the combination of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) and exposure to chemical substances or heavy metals, rather than studying these factors in isolation. • Establish zones free from electromagnetic radiation and chemical substances: Protect vulnerable populations by creating and preserving public spaces and housing that are free from wireless radiation and chemical pollutants. • Medical training and awareness: Allocate federal funding to train healthcare professionals to recognize, diagnose, and appropriately treat patients suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS). Thank you for taking this crucial testimony into consideration. Sincerely, Elisabeth Marie Dandrieux "Please find attached my 16-page testimony in French regarding EHS and MCS."
