I believe these emissions may pose potential health risks, especially to children whose bodies and brains are still developing. While I am not including scientific studies in this letter, there are many researchers and organizations that have raised concerns about the long-term effects of electromagnetic radiation exposure on human health.\n\nI do not believe that faster wireless internet speeds or any other reasons justify placing these towers close to areas where people live, learn, worship, and gather. Our society is already becoming increasingly dependent on internet-connected devices, and I am concerned that the continued expansion of wireless infrastructure encourages even greater screen use and digital dependency.\n\nChildren especially need safe environments that support learning, social interaction, physical activity, and healthy development. For these reasons, I believe communication towers should be located well away from schools, churches, daycares, neighborhoods, and other places frequented by families and children.\n\nI respectfully ask that decision-makers prioritize public health and community well-being when considering the placement of these towers.\n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6615","tags":["child-development","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"49f2afe9ba6dee6574fa024a6bb1735eb4165f9b2de1ee67332263a31d8367c4","slug":"child-development-comment-6615","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6615","body_sha256":"9c96c7c3d22bd417bb62edc8d2c9638b1793c2d4ed841381da3a1076d3d85177","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"infrastructure","topics":[{"id":"infrastructure","evidence":"communication towers should be located well away from schools"},{"id":"children","evidence":"Children especially need safe environments that support learning"}],"summary":"Opposes towers near homes and places children gather, cites personal detector observations and developmental concerns, and requests public-health priorities and community protections.","reviewed_at":"2026-10-28T23:54:32Z","review_method":"Full comment-text review with exact source evidence; attachments not reviewed","review_source_sha256":"3a7632ccf3079ec8ed4246055e9a5db0f08e8bf623d18cef361289b464eb6596","source_url":"https://rfsafe.net/hhs-comments/data/catalog.json","scope":"Original comment body; attachments excluded"},"forum_topics":["infrastructure","children"],"primary_topic":"infrastructure","forum_title":"Opposes towers near homes and places children gather, cites personal detector observations and developmen…"}
