Please note my list of symptoms below triggered by EMFs, RF and EMR that began after 2010, intensified until I was forced to stop working due to these symptoms in May 2014 and continue to this day. I was a partner in the largest CPA (certified public accounting) firm in our county, and was at the peak of my career. My dream home had to be sold to pay ongoing medical bills and eliminate our mortgage. My husband and I had to move to a mobile home to exist and have poured considerable money into the home to shield from EMFs, RF and EMR. I am completely overwhelmed with the medical symptoms triggered by and it is a day-to-day struggle to survive.\n\nSpecific triggers of EMFs, RF and EMR for me include, but are not limited to exposure to:\n Cell phones, \n\tCell towers,\n\tSmart meters,\n\tComputers, \nwireless phones, \nlaptops,\n\tEV,\n\tMost vehicles built after mid 2000s,\nCellular satellites,\nLED bulbs,\nLED light displays,\nsmart watches, \nwireless hearing aids, and,\nhearing loops.\n\nMy symptoms when exposed to EMFs, RF and EMR include:\n\tVise-like painful grip circling head,\n\tKnife-like sharp pains in head,\n\tMigraine lasting min 6hr to max of 4 days,\n\tVertigo,\n\tDisorientation,\n\tHeart arrythmia,\n\tShortness of breath,\n\tChest pressure,\n\tSlurred speech,\n\tBlurry eyesight,\n\tVisionary mirrors related to migraines,\n\tHands shaking, and,\n\tExtreme exhaustion.\n\nMy ongoing limitations include:\nAlmost completely housebound leaving home only for emergencies or medical \nappointments. It takes days to recover from migraines and other symptoms \nnoted above after leaving our shielded home;\n\tPrevented from traveling via airplanes, ships, modern vehicles, train;\n\tPrevented from staying in hotels, friends’ or relatives’ homes;\n\tPrevented from attending outdoor holiday lights displays, LED light shows, parades;\n\tLimited access to worship, theatre, live performances, sports events – anywhere that \nhas sound systems under new FCC frequency guidelines that emit radiation;\n\tCannot shop or run errands without severe side effects (e.g. grocery stores, malls, \nfarmers’ markets);\n\tNo access to banking, texting, emergency notifications from banks, utility companies, \nhousing management via cell phones. In a power outage, no access to emails to \ncompensate for this limitation;\n\tCannot take walks outside of home, go to the beach or parks;\n\nConsiderable expenses incurred due to my hypersensitivity to EMFs, RF and EMR:\n\tShield home including upgrades as technology from 3G to 4G to 5G changes;\n\tExpense to re-wire existing appliances;\n\tConsiderable expense & labor to search for wireless-free equipment, disable wifi \nfeatures on electronic equipment if possible;\n\tExpense for watching tv without wireless, smart devices/screens/remotes/streaming \ndevices (e.g. Roku);\n\tExpense and great inconvenience to move to a community without smart meters on or \nnear home;\n\tConsiderable out of pocket expense for medical devices and therapists not covered by \ninsurance to reduce or attempt to control the pain.\n\nHHS should address the sources of EMFs, RF and EMR. Specifically, I support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.\n\nI urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.\n\nThank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.\n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6189","tags":["child-development","health-experiences","exposure-places","policy-standards","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"1bfa566a145e5374115678e1afaf3475e7441153029e5c3fe7cfa60411d06569","slug":"child-development-comment-6189","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6189","body_sha256":"e2097eb720000cd731655491f688e6a975909dd5ee1fa06a5aa9236633c97f8d","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"ehs","topics":[{"id":"ehs","evidence":"s;\n\nConsiderable expenses incurred due to my hypersensitivity to EMFs, RF and EMR:\n\tShield home including upgrades as technology from "},{"id":"neurological","evidence":"ling head,\n\tKnife-like sharp pains in head,\n\tMigraine lasting min 6hr to max of 4 days,\n\tVertigo,\n\tDisorientation,\n\tHe"},{"id":"cardiac","evidence":"o max of 4 days,\n\tVertigo,\n\tDisorientation,\n\tHeart arrythmia,\n\tShortness of breath,\n\tChest pressure,\n\tSlurred speech,\n\tBlurry"},{"id":"access","evidence":"exhaustion.\n\nMy ongoing limitations include:\nAlmost completely housebound leaving home only for emergencies or medical \nappointments.
