She was surprised that I would choose to bring wireless internet equipment into my home, given what I had told her. Her comment made me stop and reconsider my decision.\n\nApproximately one week after installing T-Mobile home internet, I noticed that my Golden Pothos, a hanging plant I had cared for for 20 to 25 years, began to deteriorate. Its leaves turned brown and fell to the floor. For decades, this plant had been full, healthy, and beautiful in the same location. I was perplexed by its sudden decline.\n\nConcerned by the timing, I promptly canceled the service and returned to cable internet. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to replace my longtime plant.\n\nMy Concerns About Changes in My Family\n\nMy concerns extend beyond my own home. I became increasingly troubled by changes I observed in my daughter's emotional state and family relationships after she and her husband moved into a newly built home in Florida.\n\nTheir home contained numerous connected technologies, including smart door locks, a smart security system, televisions, cell phones, and internet-connected devices. After they moved, family members and I noticed what appeared to be a significant change in her demeanor and in the way she and her husband interacted with their young child.\n\nThey seemed increasingly impatient, and I was deeply troubled by the harsh way they spoke to their baby. Neither seemed to have much patience with the child. These changes concerned me greatly as a parent and grandparent. Over time, my relationship with my daughter deteriorated, and she eventually became estranged from me. I continue to worry about the child's well-being.\n\nI cannot say with certainty that wireless radiation caused these changes. However, the timing of these events has left me deeply concerned and questioning whether environmental factors in our homes may play a role in changes in people's emotional states, behavior, and relationships.\n\nFamily estrangement is deeply painful. I cannot help but wonder whether factors in our modern environment, including wireless radiation and other environmental exposures, deserve consideration when trying to understand troubling changes in ourselves and our loved ones.\n\nConclusion\n\nI am submitting this comment because I believe my personal experiences are worth sharing as part of the public discussion about EMFs, RF radiation, and wireless technology exposure.\n\nThe decline of a plant I had cared for over two decades and the troubling changes I observed in my family have left me with questions and concerns I cannot ignore. Although I cannot establish a direct connection between these experiences and wireless radiation, I believe they are important to document.\n\nAs a parent and family member, my greatest concern is the well-being of our children and the people we love. I hope that sharing my experiences will contribute to a better understanding of the concerns some members of the public have about wireless technology in their homes.\n\nThank you for considering my comment\n\n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4559","tags":["child-development"],"source_hash":"9939ec14c9e41932fcef137432753a5d688188f8dc0dde49a7c07fa6e1fd5cab","slug":"child-development-comment-4559","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4559","body_sha256":"0d37c2eaa4d8eb6bd1250e57b5514bd661afa7e9649d0b278f4270b6ea3eebab","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"environment","topics":[{"id":"environment","evidence":", I noticed that my Golden Pothos, a hanging plant I had cared for for 20 to 25 years, began to deteriorate.
