This issue matters to me personally because, though I am otherwise totally healthy, I suffer from 'Electro-Magnetic Radiation Syndrome' (EMR-S), a condition affecting millions of Americans and covered under the American Disabilities Act. Whenever I get near a cell tower or high-powered wifi router (same radiation), I start to get a headache and feel dizzy. Within minutes of me moving away, I fully recover. I have to live in a house away from this radiation in order to survive. And when I travel, I have to sleep inside a Faraday tent in order to actually sleep.\n\nI support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.\n\nI urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.\n\nThank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.\n","attachments":["https://downloads.regulations.gov/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4503/attachment_1.pdf"],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4503","tags":["child-development","health-experiences","sleep-cognition","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"80ec73d2dae35f44606cea25f87544342d7875c074f5adbcc50e8b09f08f2500","slug":"child-development-comment-4503","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4503","body_sha256":"bc3b9234c76699ec08e5ab418457297e17c3f1ea401ca5a8d92679ced23189ab","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"ehs","topics":[{"id":"ehs","evidence":"am otherwise totally healthy, I suffer from 'Electro-Magnetic Radiation Syndrome' (EMR-S), a condition affecting millions of Americans and covere"},{"id":"neurological","evidence":"fi router (same radiation), I start to get a headache and feel dizzy.
