The VA scheduled him for an MRI in Dec 2021.\nWe are still not sure what happened to him during the MRI and they never admitted anything happened. But when my father came out of the MRI he was suddenly childlike. It started to slowly get worse.\nOn 1/26/2022 my father had a major seizure and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He was throwing up and completely out of it. \nThe hospital notes say he had encephalitis in the front of his brain--right where the headaches had been and the MRI scanned. \nOver the course of a year and a half, he had 2 more seizures. They could never understand why and ruled out epilepsy. He would go to the hospital get some steroids and the swelling would go down and he would seem more normal.
