Because of my concerns about 5G wireless radiation, when I needed a new phone recently, I purchase a 4G phone which was somewhat difficult to obtain because almost every company has \"upgraded\" to 5G, and I have read that we are rushing toward 6G now, without sufficient research on the human health effects, though what is available to read is highly concerning in my opinion. Although I have not been personally involved in radiation research, my research training at Harvard has trained me to read research critically, and I believe what we do know to date should urge us to investigate the potential for harm before we rush headlong into an even higher potential level of risk..\n\nI support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.\n\nI urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.\n\nThank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1564","tags":["child-development","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"a64ff46cd07ea3b0ac3608a21409f586e4de0e262bd1a424ddeb69e200880c44","slug":"child-development-comment-1564","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1564","body_sha256":"b4241fc14fc80826408183016aa68cddd035e2b1a142834fe172b186d77dc2fa","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"research","topics":[{"id":"research","evidence":"have read that we are rushing toward 6G now, without sufficient research on the human health effects, though what is available "},{"id":"children","evidence":"rrent research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and esta"}],"summary":"A commenter describing medical and research training requests more study before wider 5G and 6G deployment, including attention to vulnerable populations.","reviewed_at":"2026-10-05T20:06:38Z","review_method":"Full published comment-body review; exact shared paragraphs read once and reused losslessly; distinct official IDs preserved.
