Take an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.\n\nI urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.\n\nThank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.\n\nLarry Shilling\n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1081","tags":["child-development","policy-standards","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"eefc046234a966b9cced7467ddf0238a81aee8a2b7c577b7a140939427542aa5","slug":"child-development-comment-1081","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-1081","body_sha256":"8faa2e8f324692d3781cb23481c3f503bcc6bd3c9d1e652ef23edc01227924ba","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"research","topics":[{"id":"research","evidence":"valuate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish "},{"id":"children","evidence":"tific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities"},{"id":"standards","evidence":"radiation have largely been addressed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), an agency responsible for regulating communications technology and spectrum, rather than through "}],"summary":"A parent requests that HHS take a stronger health-protection role, evaluate scientific evidence and public experiences, identify research gaps and prioritize children and vulnerable groups.","reviewed_at":"2026-09-28T16:09:15Z","review_method":"Source-matched AI review of 101 new complete comment bodies with exact supporting passages; three attachment-dependent covering notes remain pending.
