As someone who cares deeply about preventative health and public safety, I am relieved to see HHS stepping up to investigate the true human toll of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and wireless radiation. For too long, federal agencies have looked the other way while chronic illnesses, neurological complaints, and reproductive issues have risen alongside the massive rollout of wireless infrastructure.\nAs an individual managing the health of my household, I notice that many people in my community suffer from unexplained headaches, chronic fatigue, and sleep disruptions that improve noticeably when they distance themselves from high-EMF environments. I am asking HHS to lead with the precautionary principle and look closely at the peer-reviewed evidence regarding these specific priority areas:\n1.\tOxidative Stress and Chronic Disease: A staggering 91% of peer-reviewed radiofrequency radiation studies summarized by the BioInitiative Working Group found that low-intensity RF radiation induces severe oxidative damage. Oxidative stress is a well-known precursor to systemic inflammation, immune system deregulation, and chronic illness.\n2.\tReproductive Harm and Genotoxicity: Studies mapping out EMF exposure on human health have repeatedly demonstrated adverse effects on fertility, including altered parameters of sperm function, genotoxic damage, and increased risks of miscarriage.\n3.\tThe Threat of Cumulative Neighborhood Exposure: With the unmitigated density of 5G small cells and smart meters placed directly outside bedroom windows, the public is subjected to inescapable, continuous exposure. The concordance between the National Toxicology Program's finding of malignant tumors in rodents and the epidemiological data of human brain tumors cannot be ignored.\nHHS has a binding duty to protect human health over corporate interests. Please use your agency's authority to establish a transparent, multi-disciplinary task force to create real, health-protective federal exposure limits.\nSincerely,\nMarcia Keizer\nYelm, Washington\n","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6716","tags":["cancer-tumors","health-experiences","sleep-cognition","biology-metabolism","exposure-places","policy-standards","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"c91b5f2c719f5942ec3a69b854636864a11cf5bb3e7ccf34360fa72732aa96c6","slug":"cancer-tumors-comment-6716","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-6716","body_sha256":"8f798a0945e3e0dacd3677611bb98204bfe811e2e7ec6c4b19fa7110b5042518","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"standards","topics":[{"id":"standards","evidence":"create real, health-protective federal exposure limits"},{"id":"mechanisms","evidence":"Oxidative Stress and Chronic Disease"},{"id":"reproductive","evidence":"adverse effects on fertility"},{"id":"cancer","evidence":"malignant tumors in rodents"}],"summary":"Requests a precautionary federal task force and protective exposure limits, citing oxidative stress, reproductive and cancer research and observed improvement away from high-exposure environments.","reviewed_at":"2026-10-28T23:54:32Z","review_method":"Full comment-text review with exact source evidence; attachments not reviewed","review_source_sha256":"126dd03d7b5ad478419bb161a077b5263f7102013d458f8a426f9ce1effe7393","source_url":"https://rfsafe.net/hhs-comments/data/catalog.json","scope":"Original comment body; attachments excluded"},"forum_topics":["standards","mechanisms","reproductive","cancer"],"primary_topic":"standards","forum_title":"Requests a precautionary federal task force and protective exposure limits, citing oxidative stress, repr…"}
