{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-4573","number":"4573","name":"Manju Carrrow","organization":"","posted":"2026-10-26T04:00Z","received":"2026-10-16T04:00Z","body":"I am submitting this comment in response to HHS’s Request for Information on Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs), Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation, and Wireless Radiation Exposure.\n\nI am responding from the perspective of a [patient, parent, family member, caregiver, healthcare professional, researcher, advocate, concerned member of the public, or other]. I am all of the above.\n\nIn October 2009 I started using a cell phone. It was low to moderate use. By the summer of 2010 I started to feel pain in my left temple where I would hold the phone. I would also get headaches, but only on the left side. This scared me so in general, I stopped holding it up to my head. I then started to learn about wireless radiation. I became pregnant by December of 2010 and then rarely used the phone. Then I completely stopped using a cell phone. It's 2026 and I still rarely use a cell phone with the exception of certain times while traveling, etc. I also still have intermittent pressure and pain in my left temporal area of my head. Now, when I hold the phone my hand gets warm and feels like it's burning still the next day, even with short term use. I'm pretty much scared to use a phone because of how it makes me feel. I also have educated myself all about wireless radiation and that's why I don't use wi-fi, a smart meter, or any wireless devices. It's horrible that we all have to live around it if we go out into public. The government needs to establish guidelines that will protect the public, instead of harming them, from wireless radiation. The only safe level is zero. Please stop putting money in front of people's health. Wireless radiation causes heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and neurological illness. It's one of the main factors in the dramatic increase in illness in our population.
