Robert O. Becker's work found proved these same drivers of disease. Kruse emphasizes non-thermal (not just heating) effects and links them to quantum biology:\nMitochondrial dysfunction and water disruption: nnEMF impairs mitochondrial water production, causes cellular dehydration, increases reactive oxygen species, raises mitochondrial heteroplasmy, and reduces energy efficiency. Water is described as a carrier of electromagnetic information from the sun into cells; microwaves and nnEMF disrupt this. \nStress response and signaling: It triggers a massive cellular stress response mimicking leptin resistance, a heart attack, or panic attack. It can cause chronic sympathetic nervous system overdrive (“microwave sickness” described in older Russian literature), leading to poor sleep, adrenal issues, cardiovascular problems, and more. \nCalcium signaling, DNA, and other effects: Interference with calcium secondary messengers, non-linear DNA damage, disruption of synchronization with the Earth’s magnetic field, and impaired cellular timing/coherence.\nReproductive and developmental impacts: Kruse specifically warns against keeping phones in front pockets, citing potential effects on sperm, testosterone, and germ cells (with implications for offspring). He has discussed fertility concerns more broadly in the context of device proximity and urban/wireless environments. \n\nKruse frequently references the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) animal studies (showing associations with certain tumors in rats from cell-phone-type RF radiation) and older Russian research on microwave effects, arguing that safety standards based only on thermal effects are inadequate.\nthe negative health impacts of wireless radiation are real and proven.\nI support HHS taking an active role in examining the potential health and environmental effects of wireless radiation. Questions about human health should be addressed by federal agencies with appropriate expertise in medicine, biology, epidemiology, and public health, and the experiences of individuals and families who report being affected should be considered alongside the scientific evidence.\n\nI urge HHS to carefully evaluate these experiences and the scientific evidence, identify gaps in current research, give particular attention to children and other potentially vulnerable populations, and establish appropriate federal research priorities regarding wireless radiation and public health.\n\nThank you for providing individuals and families with an opportunity to be heard.","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-3755","tags":["cancer-tumors","child-development","sleep-cognition","biology-metabolism","exposure-places","policy-standards","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"cdbb7b6760091207ea80355d33f0c24b7dd63a49629cf1ffedbc55d2e12f336e","slug":"cancer-tumors-comment-3755","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-3755","body_sha256":"3dd72ecc62777ae7e343f26c7ee6f4b655180b2ebd76af422ff436e128a11060","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"mechanisms","topics":[{"id":"mechanisms","evidence":") effects and links them to quantum biology:\nMitochondrial dysfunction and water disruption: nnEMF impairs mitochondrial water producti"},{"id":"reproductive","evidence":"eld, and impaired cellular timing/coherence.\nReproductive and developmental impacts: Kruse specifically warns against keeping phones in front pocket"},{"id":"cancer","evidence":"l studies (showing associations with certain tumors in rats from cell-phone-type RF radiation) and older Russian research on"},{"id":"standards","evidence":" research on microwave effects, arguing that safety standards based only on thermal effects are inadequate.\nthe negative health impacts of wireless radiatio"},{"id":"research","evidence":"ents. \n\nKruse frequently references the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) animal studies (showing associations with certain tumors i"},{"id":"neurological","evidence":"bed in older Russian literature), leading to poor sleep, adrenal issues, cardiovascular problems, and more. \nCalcium sig"},{"id":"cardiac","evidence":"ure), leading to poor sleep, adrenal issues, cardiovascular problems, and more. \nCalcium signaling, DNA, and other effects: Interfere"}],"summary":"The commenter presents Jack Kruse's and Robert Becker's ideas on mitochondrial, calcium-signaling and other non-thermal mechanisms, cites reproductive and tumor concerns, and urges HHS research beyond heating-based standards.","reviewed_at":"2026-10-21T23:43:28Z","review_method":"Complete submitted comment-text review with neutral attributed summaries and exact evidence; attachments and external materials not reviewed.","review_source_sha256":"ea5b68f4dcff9def34aad8e085cea4b1c2e9e481f63e57be6b8504bee77f2832","source_url":"https://rfsafe.net/hhs-comments/data/catalog.json","scope":"Original comment body; attachments excluded"},"forum_topics":["mechanisms","reproductive","cancer","standards","research","neurological","cardiac"],"primary_topic":"mechanisms","forum_title":"The commenter presents Jack Kruse's and Robert Becker's ideas on mitochondrial, calcium-signaling and oth…"}
