The subject of cell science was a favourite of mine. \n\nMy comment arises from the fact that there is evidence that the current, Safe E/M Radiation Level is much too high, current levels causing changes in biological cellular activity.\n\n5G masts are of concern in the UK, and LED street lighting is a further issue. While you can put up heavy curtains to dim the light, the radiation is of course unimpeded. \n\nFurthermore, one environmental consequence of LED lighting is that insect reproduction near these lights is mostly absent. \n\nA great deal more research into the neurological and neurophysiological response to these EMF sources should be carried out if we are to set a more realistic Safe level of exposure for the general public and all those who work near EMF sources.","attachments":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.regulations.gov/comment/HHS-OASH-2026-0397-2888","tags":["biology-metabolism","exposure-places","research-evidence"],"source_hash":"5a71677bcb56bd03d0a80e9747ca15fe1dde874e4d6d815d2fbb3338e62dd79c","slug":"biology-metabolism-comment-2888","classification":{"id":"HHS-OASH-2026-0397-2888","body_sha256":"c01ee5c2f2d49df169f45075b3e24067a08752d5524677f864b09c01edf3e3b6","status":"ai_reviewed","primary_topic":"standards","topics":[{"id":"standards","evidence":"d out if we are to set a more realistic Safe level of exposure for the general public and all those who work n"},{"id":"research","evidence":"s is mostly absent. \n\nA great deal more research into the neurological and neurophysiological response to th"},{"id":"neurological","evidence":". \n\nA great deal more research into the neurological and neurophysiological response to these EMF sources should"},{"id":"environment","evidence":"tal consequence of LED lighting is that insect reproduction near these lights is mostly absent. \n\nA great deal more res"},{"id":"occupational","evidence":"or the general public and all those who work near EMF sources."}],"summary":"Argues that exposure limits are too high and requests research into neurological effects of 5G and LED lighting, including occupational and insect concerns.","reviewed_at":"2026-10-15T03:51:16Z","review_method":"Source-based AI review of complete published comment bodies; exact topic evidence; attachments and external links not reviewed.","review_source_sha256":"46f9ad05080cfeff6ded3e20bd1a84d10232acb2dba069cb0545c2814ed0c24e","source_url":"https://rfsafe.net/hhs-comments/data/catalog.json","scope":"Original comment body; attachments excluded"},"forum_topics":["standards","research","neurological","environment","occupational"],"primary_topic":"standards","forum_title":"Argues that exposure limits are too high and requests research into neurological effects of 5G and LED li…"}
