To date, the FCC has failed to review available studies and the experiences of actual people to make meaningful and appropriate impact assessments. This failure is a violation of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals’ remand concerning its decades-old RF radiation exposure guidelines. The Court directed the FCC to provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its guidelines adequately protect humans against harmful effects of RF radiation unrelated to cancer. Specifically, the court required the FCC to address the impacts of RF radiation on children, the health implications of long-term exposure, the ubiquity of wireless devices and technological developments, impacts on the environment, and the adequacy of the FCC’s testing procedures for cell phones and other portable devices. The FCC is not a health agency and does not have expertise in medicine, biology or public health. Yet, the agency continues to assert authority over RF exposure standards and is preparing to reach conclusions about whether its existing guidelines adequately protect the public. This issue matters to me personally because of the proliferation of cell towers, 5G installations, and wireless devices everywhere which we cannot get away from. I've experienced increased sensitivities to RF exposure which has caused vertigo, brain fog, insomnia and other negative health consequences for me and my family members. The FCC must give meaningful consideration to the experiences and evidence before it and to fully address each of the issues identified by the court.","attachments":[],"attachment_names":[],"attachment_inventory":true,"withheld":false,"source":"https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filing/26110083204","filing_type":"COMMENT","proceedings":"ET 13-84","capture_reviewed":false,"captured_at":"2026-10-22T17:40:32.784Z","supplied_classification":null,"tags":["sleep-neurology","cancer","children-schools","towers-antennas","wifi-devices","wildlife-environment","standards-testing","remand-accountability","research-requests"],"source_hash":"b9f5191228665a9851e56a5a105a4db209dee17e4ed6a867d30577d26f810d07","slug":"sleep-neurology-filing-26110083204","classification":{"id":"26110083204","body_sha256":"2367cb622fbf97b00fffb3e66dfa2d5d09cd0227ff142c649fe7b89965cfc915","status":"text_matched","primary_topic":"sleep-neurology","topics":[{"id":"sleep-neurology","evidence":"I've experienced increased sensitivities to RF exposure which has caused vertigo, brain fog, insomnia and other negative health consequences for me and my family members."},{"id":"cancer","evidence":"The Court directed the FCC to provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its guidelines adequately protect humans against harmful effects of RF radiation unrelated to cancer."},{"id":"children-schools","evidence":"I am writing to urge the FCC to fully consider evidence and real-world experiences concerning the health impacts of radiofrequency (RF) radiation on children and adults, as well as the impacts of long-term and cumulative exposure on wildlife and the environment."},{"id":"towers-antennas","evidence":"This issue matters to me personally because of the proliferation of cell towers, 5G installations, and wireless devices everywhere which we cannot get away from."},{"id":"wifi-devices","evidence":"Specifically, the court required the FCC to address the impacts of RF radiation on children, the health implications of long-term exposure, the ubiquity of wireless devices and technological developments, impacts on the environment, and the adequacy of the FCC’s testing procedures for cell phones and other portable devices."},{"id":"wildlife-environment","evidence":"I am writing to urge the FCC to fully consider evidence and real-world experiences concerning the health impacts of radiofrequency (RF) radiation on children and adults, as well as the impacts of long-term and cumulative exposure on wildlife and the environment."},{"id":"standards-testing","evidence":"I am writing to urge the FCC to fully consider evidence and real-world experiences concerning the health impacts of radiofrequency (RF) radiation on children and adults, as well as the impacts of long-term and cumulative exposure on wildlife and the environment."},{"id":"remand-accountability","evidence":"Circuit Court of Appeals’ remand concerning its decades-old RF radiation exposure guidelines."},{"id":"research-requests","evidence":"I am writing to urge the FCC to fully consider evidence and real-world experiences concerning the health impacts of radiofrequency (RF) radiation on children and adults, as well as the impacts of long-term and cumulative exposure on wildlife and the environment."}],"summary":"","method":"Local topic rules v1; exact supporting passages; not an AI or medical review","scope":"Captured filing text only.
